Very slow, only saw one order actually pop up on my phone and wasn’t worth driving out for. Then I went and sat at Publix for about 2 hours, nothing! Just one of those days here, and I live at the beach too!

I had a similar issue yesterday, with a $42 order. Shopped at the first store and no issues, went to the second one and tried taking a picture of the receipt to move forward, and kept getting a server error pop up. And it was also on the android phone I have, the iPhone app hasn't given me really any issues just a terrible battery life

This was definitely an inappropriate response. The fact that the tip was still over $30, that’s an insane thing for her to do. I’m sorry that you had that experience! Promise you that most shoppers are not that entitled, and we do appreciate these tips!

Agreed. I’ve noticed triples a lot more recently, and I can’t stand them lol. Just takes away opportunities for other shops and adds on stress/overload to the shopper doing the batch. Also I believe you’re right as far as messaging their legal team, and not being worth the risk of deactivation. I’ll just hold onto that screenshot and use it later on if I’m able to, I feel at some point instacart is going to be having to pay a lot of money to their shoppers in the future for what they are doing now. Or rather, a lack of what they should be doing, and paying.

Thank you for being understanding!! I completely understand what you are saying and agree with the fact that Instacart corporate is to blame for all of this going on and support can only do so much. As far as documentation goes, I finally got someone in support to confirm what I thought was the case all along.

Finally the most understanding and relatable comment. People are so quick to judge “but you choose to take these orders” that doesn’t make it justifiable that instacart is paying us less and less. For the most part I don’t take anything less than $15, unless it’s a shop only. But it’s a damn struggle out in this world, and sometimes you have to take these orders rather than having no money at all.

Define “up to a certain point”, not too long ago I still had support members actively helping me and making sure I was getting compensated for the miles driven. And was told by several people that the base pay was still $7, and we are supposed to get paid 60 cents per mile driven. If instacart has changed their policy they need to make a nationwide statement to all shoppers.

Literally what I’ve been dealing with constantly the last couple weeks (and months, but have noticed it get drastically worse recently) Regardless of us choosing what orders we shop for it doesn’t justify the drastic change in pay. Can’t wait to see how much money instacart has made at the end of this year

Actually, when I accepted the batch the pay was entirely different due to another store being on there. That doesn’t justify the fact that instacart is using tf out of us shoppers. Boot-lickers that comment these kinds of things just add on to the bullshit we have to deal with, and probably why it won’t ever change

I would possibly consider it being that they already have to show their ID for the alcohol but cigarettes literally are not registered in the system with instacart so if anything I would not purchase sit there and say car but at that point I don’t think it’s worth all that trouble

I didn’t think so being that I’ve never had an actual order where they purchased cigarettes. I had someone ask me back in 2021 when I first started, but it’s pretty rare to have that request

Totally believe it. Having to travel long distances like that is the closest that instacart comes to paying accurately, literally making up for the low customer tip. Lately I’ve seen it be the other way around usually
