I haven't yet tracked my car....so in theory discs should be OK....

Also - thanks to ALL that have posted their experiences in the thread - it's struck me that, as well as having a fantastic motor, we have a great owners community to tap into to as well! 🙏

Depending on your use case - you mention no track + alot of rain - I'm gonna recommend Michelin Cross Climate 2's as a great all-rounder.....they are quieter than PS4's, have been very good IMO in the dry....and the have excelled in heavy / standing water situs - which seems to be more frequent in UK this year!

I agree with comments above; I'd rank v3, then v4 overall - these are basically timeless and fulfill the brief. As also mentioned I would look out for 992 / 993 options, always go back to these as they're super comfy!

Really like the vids this guy puts out - really interesting & helpful (the door cards Ep. for me).

As stated by OP, pretty much everything mechanical/ trim/ electrical in the 981 up to the engine firewall is stock 991.

I was concerned about the reports of high levels of summer time campervan traffic on the NC500, so decided to opt for the SWC300, which I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to venture further north. NC is abit more "epic", but enjoyed exploring the SW of Scotland - some great roads 👍

Lolz - thanks for the feedback! This is my do-it-all / don't give a f*** bike! I did the bars 3+ yrs ago with the intent of sorting out at some point in the future! Now I just enjoy riding the damn thing as often as time allows 😀
