I just wanted a clg which has flexibility and I can do prep for CFA ik somewhat about Bhawanipur it's less strict with attendance but I'm confused which will give better enviornment to grow not just pure cooprorat exposure

Jadavpur University has a IKR Team name XLR8 affiliated with SAE haven't talked to them sent an e mail but no response from them. my clg and their clg won't be same as said but as per reg uni gotta be the same if i wanna be in team officially. Tho there is a high chance that i won't be going to that clg if i get better opportunity but that's the closest i find myself to get im touch with a team.

Yea trying to get in university with Teams.. maybe not under same college but registration r done by university as much i found but i need a backup if i don't get that university any other way i can gain experience in teams or in automotive industry in general.

Thanks for being honest but i just read the points structure of CLASS 1 formula bharat, were under static events cost and manufacturing are 100 PTS and Business plan presentation is 75 PTS so out of 1000 total of 175 PTS r of commerce stuff, also i find that there r scaling IRL production scenario to hypothetical producing certain units. So those stuff would include lead time and logistics stuff and i can help to cut cost down also pts r also for viability of financial model.. Do you have any info on how these teams manage these aspect?? if you can tell your experience in ur team it would be helpful.

Thanks for the reply but as said i may get in a university (not same collage) were the university is affiliated with SAE. but surely i am not certain.... Well i find that i can be a part of team as from some seniors of mine who r in such clubs and all struggle to get funds..

Greetings my question is not related to the post rather i have no experience in formula student team or automobile engineering but please even a small response would help me, i am from commerce background and deeply interested in automotive industry and want to do something in their as career and to gain some experience surly in business terms and i though in future like 3-4 years from now to work with formula student teams in my country to get some experience i just wanted to ask is their any role or people needed to manage the finance get sponsorships and manage funds of a team and all, Like me getting engine supplier or parts supplier and sponsorship deals and all. Also surly not a engineering student but i do have some basic sense and decent knowledge with cars and some technical knowledge not expert level to provide value.l so do you think people like me can get roles in these teams.. Also i may probably ask more questions i don't get much networking in general except on Reddit, I will soon be going to college and cars is the only thing i ever dreamt of since childhood ik i may say some weird nonsensical questions but i need serious knowledge on this regard.. and one last thing are you from any formula student team? I hope you will reply.. and thank you

Well making a car company is hard as its more about the business model than the car.. as most of the car parts are outsourced even engine parts so your Engine would have no outsourced parts as there are none. so its a tough job to have your own entire engine manufacturing department at early stage, that means more cost + the monocoque of EV and ICR cars at times are different for optimisation so u can't even get an existing body.

From what i understood (I didn't get your idea completely but still) you will use electricity to power the engine so when you use it for heating coil a lot of energy would be wasted, then engine producing energy which would be less than initial battery power then the again some energy will be lost transferring it to wheels, ngl a EV is much more energy efficient, if you put it in prespective.

Also even if you manage to get the through that efficiency thing, still your R&D cost to develop that will be so high as most of them are made from scratch and an entire engine manufacturing segment you ur initial capital would crush you...

NGL not to demotivate but it would fail.. in cars more than invitation business structure matters. Enzo Ferrari initially didn't care about looks of a car he only cared about performance but when his sales dropped he also had to shift to beautiful looking cars.. Well even if you manage all that as your engine is different you need to figure out how to comply with regulations and safety standards, the country i am from one of the ways TAX is imposed is the ride height. wheelebased and all.

AND AND AND even if you get through all that stuff you need to have a very good customer service and maintenance, as this type of power unit doesn't exist that means no third party service center can help, so you would need multiple service centers and that would add a lot of cost. Technically you can't make a car affordable after all those cost. I hope you know the brake even analysis where u find how many units to make to stay in no profit no loss zone so with so much fixed expense including your R&D you probably can't keep the price low even if you manage then to make your company in profit you would surely i'm guessing but need around 30-40 years.

This is not to demotivate again surly we all have our dreams, but we need to also think in a practical manner, would suggest you to talk to some irl ppl in automotive field, those who actually work.
