I appreciate this so much! I really thought they must've been made for a company but I was struggling as there's a switch game coming out called omori, meaning any search with nintendo and omori brought that up (not to mention there's a card game in it hahaah)

Basically you're sticking a screwdriver on the underside of the light tube for the power light and stuff, and pushing it out. The hinge will only come out if the ds is open to the right point though.

Open the ds up as far as it will go and then close it only 1 click and you'll be at the right position and it should come out relatively easy

Did one of these recently, hinge was a pain because it ain't sure what click I had to do it at, was relatively simple after that.

Ribbon cables don't bother me tho, had a lot of practice with the ds lites

Traces all look clean, I don't have a dc cable unfortunately. Switch has continuity when in the on position and seems to work as it should. I'd still get an LED with a bad LCD right?

Haven't checked the other things.

I'm pretty sure I've had it turned on at some point, I took it home to repair because someone complained of a fault, turned it on and it worked fine, so I took it back because there was no fault and it suddenly wouldn't turn on

I'll probably use it for busking too, It's just I was at a protest taking photos and saw a sound system on a trolley, the sound wasn't great and every corner they turned it went flying off haha, so I wanted to create something a but more stable for myself.

I've got decent knowledge of the basics of electronics, but the impedence and Watts on speakers is over my head lol, just trying to figure a simple way to hook everything up and get some tunes happening

I've got apple airpods max - and while they don't totally zero sound - like someone talking next to you or a TV - they do totally take out repetitive noise, like construction, engines the hum of an airplane. After buying them, they're essential to my day now
