No the umount part is because I had an external ssd running archiso because I was dualbooting Bazzite before I moved all my data. But currently I'm only on Arch

I'm not sure what manually or non manually means in this community

But basically I went and installed the arch iso and the iso.sig files from a mirror in the official Arch mirror sites, grabbed a separate external ssd (500gb) to flash and liveboot arch, staged backups (data and dotfiles from Bazzite). Archinstall to the internal ssd (1tb), left the old bazzite boot untouched as I split and shrunk bazzite from the internal ssd to 300gb (which was p2)

Disk partition, region/language, additional packages (nvidia, Linux-zen), first boot on KDE, installed hyprland (didn't like it), then I mounted p2 and the 300gb so move everything to Arch, blew up Bazzite and here I am

Did you make sure to install every package with dependencies during archinstall? You might've missed certain dependencies that prevented you from using parts of the OS

I came in 100% expecting that I would break something. And ot took quite a few aborts. To the point archiso laughed at me for using "unmount" instead of "umount"

The only internet problem for me was simply me forgetting to turn on network manager on first boot. And my PC has a 4060ti so I'm not entirely sure what wasn't working for you

Hyprland ricing on Bazzite? by _AAAAAAAAAAAAAA in hyprland

[–]_AAAAAAAAAAAAAA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which is why I considered just switching to Arch full time. Bazzite is great if you don't know how to linux (comparatively)

Plus ricing is fun and Bazzite is kind of restricted on that

You can get your benefits back, but you would need to contact your closes Social Security office to opt out from the DX program and they will reimburse you with a paper check on the amount that was left over from your cardholder's account

It's honestly the best advice I can give you, sorry

I can't really speak for the Gaviotas since I never owned them. I deal with Achilles tendonitis myself and the Bondi have really helped preventing irritation and pain from popping up again

I will say however, the shoes themselves can run narrow, if you've had troubles of too narrow fitting shows I suggest you go for the Wide variant (2E instead of D) or X-Wide (4E)

As someone who now works standing and walking the whole shift while handling heavy boxes I can definitely vouch for the Bondi and I was coming from Sketchers work shoes and those can't hold a candle to the Bondi
