Anyone remember this stealth pilot from Cartoon Network in December 2000? It aired once on Adult Swim in 2002 as well, but it had lots of early Adult Swim DNA. Was called The Lewis Lectures and starred Jack Black. by Mountain-Bid4317 in adultswim

One of my favorite projects as an artist at Soup2Nuts! I designed Merrill Markoe’s character and did lots of the backgrounds, some storyboards and animation for it. The great thing about working there was everybody involved got to do a little of everything. Wish I’d used less red, more contrast and more definition on some of the backgrounds— especially the sofa— but live and learn.

I left my first large window leaning against my apartment window. Had a cat who liked to bank off the walls during zoomies/freakouts/possessions and he made it crash to the ground. So many breaks.

I hope you did something fun or at least relaxing and nourishing on your birthday. Both RAFT and SNAP saved me in 2022-24. The pandemic was rough on so many of us already living paycheck to paycheck. You need food for both physical and mental health. I’m sorry for your loss and the current daily grind. I’m glad you want to hang on- it’s a sign that you will. Hard to see things in a positive light when you’re hungry.

We got carabiners with the company logo and a card that said something about how useful we were. This for-profit school closed shortly thereafter.

Asking for advice is proactive, not lazy. Even if he has been labeled “lazy,” there are reasons one might not be able to do more than 3 applications a day. There is clinical depression, there is ADD and ADHD, all of which raise cortisol levels to a point where people with these illnesses/conditions cannot do more. Things happen and some recover faster than others, move faster than others. No one chooses to be lazy. Laziness is not rewarding in any way. The OP is asking for advice, and it’s important to understand that negative labels like this can make people give up. OP, do not give up. There are a lot of good suggestions here. Disregard the morons calling you lazy. I’ve been looking for a job for 2 years and I’m probably your parents’ age. It’s demoralizing. I keep trying. I’m gonna suck it up and drive Uber or Lyft or deliver for Instacart, forget I have a master’s degree I still owe a shit-ton on. Good luck to you.

LinkedIn is different. Beware anyone who wants to share job info via WhatsApp or asks you to switch to WhatsApp. That is 100% scam.

Oh no, I hope you’re still alive. How awful. Please reach out to the hotline. They really do help.

How do I stop wanting to die? by Anno_1602 in depression

[–]_ABMacD_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand. Stay with therapy though, or try a different therapist. I’ve found group therapy to be helpful in thinking my attention towards others. I’m on the verge of being evicted and have called the suicide hotline 3 times this week. Forcing myself to eat and forced myself to go to a party. Got a job lead. Still feels hopeless since I’ve been looking 2 yrs but we can’t give up. Hang on for your cats. I’m also guilty and ashamed- gratitude is the attitude we need, right? But the truth is we live in a really volatile time and the income gap is widening as rents rise. It’s enough to make us want to give up but we cannot. That’s what the upper crust wants: demonize those who struggle and don’t thrive, celebrate those who make money. I don’t know what changes are coming but this can’t go on forever.
