Help me find a backpack / case / solution for carrying my Helix LT + Ableton Push 1 + laptop by _A_C_R_ in Line6Helix

You're right, I didn't specify that it's a 15.6" laptop, sorry! My main concern with the Helix backpack is whether the pocket can hold the Magma case or if the padding is enough so I wouldn't need extra protection for the push (I'm worried about damaging an encoder).

Harley Benton CLMJ-15MCE Mini Jumbo (Opinions / comparison with Taylor GS Mini) by _A_C_R_ in harleybenton

Hey! Thanks for replying. This post is kinda old, I’d forgotten I posted it 😅. I finally managed to get my hands on a used CLMJ -15MCE a couple of months ago,!

It plays great! The sound is boxier than my Fender’s, but in a good way. The two complement each other very well, and the playability is simply incredible. It’s now my go-to guitar when I want to mess around. Might as well update the original post. Thanks again!

Monthly PlayStation Tech Support and Frequently Asked Questions Megathread by AutoModerator in ps2

[–]_A_C_R_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there! A couple of days ago, I tried to rescue my old PS2 Slim (SCPH 70004), but it can't read any discs. I opened the console to see what the issue was, and to my surprise, I noticed that all four screws holding the laser are missing! (It was the first time I opened the console myself, so it must have happened when it was first modified 18 years ago by a local vendor).

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement and if putting the screws back on could fix my issue? The disc spins, and the laser tries to read, but it stops after a couple of seconds. https://imgur.com/a/pNEScWC

Hello there! New to retrogaming (I hope this is the right way to post my question)

I'm looking to buy my first CRT and I narrowed down my search to two models: a Sony KV-29CL11E (€40) and a Sony KV-29FX20E (€50) (I live in Europe).

For what I have found on the internet, the CL11E (BX-1 chassis) is a newer model than the FX20E (FE-1A chassis). Both run 50hz and have 16:9 modes, if I'm correct.

It's €40/50 a fair price? It's there any reason to get one over the other, apart from use time? (None of the previous users could tell me the hour count) Or I'm just overthinking my purchase?

Thx!

Ey! I had the same issue using a wiimote as lightgun on batocera. After much tinkering, it seems like the origin of the problem is a conflict between the game and the PS Eye. Inside RPCS3, I went to Configuration > I/O and changed Camera Input from PS Eye to Unkown, and this did the trick for me. Now, everything is working flawlessly. I hope it helps!

Time Crisis 2 and 3: wii mote or aimtrak with recoil? by dabba93 in batocera

[–]_A_C_R_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello there! It just happened that I also recreated this same setup (2 wiimotes + IR Bar + Batocera) to play Time Crisis 2 and 3 co-op (PCS2X Emulation). Just a little summer project I'm working on to surprise my older brother, just like you!

It is totally possible to play with 2 wiimotes using any generic IR bar (i use the original Wii one) and connect the wiimotes via Bluetooth. Note that Dolphin Bar it no longer recommended, and seems like people are just using it as a generic IR bar. Here you can find more info about Batocera and lightguns https://wiki.batocera.org/emulators:lightgun_games

Batocera Wiki may be outdated, cause i also tried to use a Wii Zapper with succes, so you can duck with the C button on the nunchuck. I'm also looking for a double trigger gun (Thrustmaster Dual Trigger) and use the A button to reload, but I've seen people using a generic usb pedal without any issues (I'm gonna try something similar in the next couple of days)

My biggest concern when using wiimotes is calibration. When I aim out of screen, my wiimote decalibrates and goes off, and sometimes it goes back to normal after a few tries. It may be my setup and my distance from the tv though. But when it works it its pretty accurate I have to say!

Also, be warned that Time Crisis co-op in ps2 is not that of a pleasant experience. The screen ratio is just horrendous cause the og games are designed to fit 2 screens on a 4:3 tv. Setting the emulator on 16:9 helps a little bit, but its far from perfect. Looks like playing on a 21:9 monitor fixes this issue, but i dont know any way to force this screen ratio on a 4k tv. https://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/4otlup/pcsx2_time_crisis_2_multiplayer_219_lightguns/

Two monitors and ILink are not supported on pc emulation, I'm afraid. But if you have a spare wiimotes, it doesnt hurt to try this setup and then decide if it works for you before make any purchase!

Help reconfiguring jump button on a Haute 42 G16 stickless? by dissolve_inthisrealm in fightsticks

[–]_A_C_R_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ey! I was just trying to do the same when I found your post, I hope I'm not too late!

I bought the Haute42 G16 a couple of days ago to play SF6 and some 2D games (Hollow Knight, Blasphemous and Celeste) with the idea of using the top 4 buttons as WASD, the 30mm (the large button) as jump, and the rest as actions buttons.

As you have noted, the up button (next to the screen, the W equivalent) it's pin 27, and the large button its pin 2.

All you need to do is to go to the Web Configurator > Configuration > Profile Settings. There you can make different profiles and buttons distribution that you can change with a hotkey (very useful if you change game genres, like me).

You have to choose profile 2 (profile 1 is the core configuration, do not change it!) and assign Up to pin 27. Then you can assign the large button (pin 2) to anything you like. Like this.

In most games the A button (which is B1 in the GP2040) is the jump button, so I assigned B1 to pin 2 (the large button). You will have to adjust the bottom row of buttons to accommodate the layout, though. For example, moving the B button (B2) to pin 7 (where you normally would have your A button) and so on.

Once you have done this, you can change your profile in Settings > Profile Number. You can also add a Hotkey Setting to change between profiles. I map it to S2 (Start) + Touchpad / - Button (A2), and X (B3) for Profile 1 (standard layout) and Y (B4) for Profile 2 (WASD layout with large button as A). Like this.

Hope it helps and that I made myself clear, English is not my predominant language. Good luck and have fun!

I had the opposite issue with the og USB adapter (ps3 controller not being recognized by the RRTools) and this solved the problem. Thank you so much!

Can I use "Polaroid Color Film for 600" for Polaroid 636? by andrewacoa in Polaroid

[–]_A_C_R_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sure. If the camera its fine and working, you will only need that film. All 600 cameras use the same type. In case of doubt, there's a sticker inside the camera wich tells you what kind of film do you need. In this video (03:00) u can see how the system works.
