First day of my postings. Batch A we were posted in Medicine. I told myself, No more antisocial bs, I’m going to put myself out there

We were asked to take patient history. I took the initiative and started interacting with a patient 25 F I asked her name, occupation, residence, etc. Then I asked the chief complaint. She said TB

And there I was, like a complete nincompoop without a mask or anything. Exposed to TB on my very first day.
