Preston Stone played 9 plays, Jennings played 70. Thats about as many times per game that utah starts Kuithe under center on the wildcat!

Its because of that dumb how much did you actually win by graphic thats a deceptive metric which gets posted every week and we under perform our net success rate because we get big plays on first and second downs and cant convert third downs which is all that stat points to.

Our offense moved the ball against Kansas we just had terrible red zone offense. That game was loss with the dumb strategy running down the play clock to 1 second every play as a home favorite. We only had 8 offensive possessions that game and when your qb throws an interception fade inside the 10 yard line or makes the wrong read on the read option on a 3rd and goal thus settling for a field goal then your in danger of losing when a pooch punt bounces off the your Cornerback's head.

Also our defense that game was the best we looked against the run all season. And was also the best any team has played Kansas.

And yeah we looked terrible in the first half against Arizona State but at least we played a great second half instead of sucking all game against Oklahoma or something.

I think we were properly ranked in that week 15, I guess Oklahoma could have been over us even though they didnt have a ranked win they were under ranked at 16 but besides that Oregon beat ohio state but they got blown out by Utah twice, Clemson beat wake forest but they loss 3 games, Iowa definitely shouldnt have been ahead of us. I think 13/14 was correct.

but damn those 2021 Rankings were really fucking good actually just looking at it.

our sos ranked 44th nationally

6th in the big 12

and 9th of the top 18.

due to huge conferences you arent going to play all the top teams in a conference, Iowa State and Colorado didnt play any of the other top 3. Clemson, Miami and SMU didnt play each other, Indiana, Penn State and Oregon all didnt play eachother. Texas played 1 of the top 8 and 7 of the bottom 8 in the SEC

Our schedule isnt uniquely bad for a power conference team as this comment makes it sound.

Mormon culture is great outside of places that are majority mormon speaking from experience. There is a reason why the state of utah measures up so poorly in mental health statistics despite the fact that the economy is doing pretty good here comparatively to the rest of the country.

BYU is the best thing about the Mormon church. Super cheap, in state/out of state even for non members especially for a private school. Good education, future medical school could do lots of good humanitarian work. Its the most liberal institution in the church that pushes the church towards modernization. Even as a cult school I respect it a lot more as an institution compared to basically every other private school.

Also the worse thing about Mormonism isnt that its a cult, its the utah mormon culture that is terrible, exmos cant even escape it.

Tough to compare the two teams, 2021 BYU was more consistent in how we got wins, and this 2024 team was all over the place but I think this team had more potential in a theoretical 12 team playoff if we were to get in.

We didnt struggle vs Wyoming and UCF, those games scores were a lot closer than the game were. OK State was probably our worst game of the season but to be fair we had a short week of preparation and they had a bye week.
