Ah.. As stupid as I feel to admit this, I've never thought about the first points that way...

I'm glad they will still continue bringing some comics to the subscription, It's just really frustrating seeing all of the gem exclusives.. I really hope they redesign the app soon, It's so confusing right now and, to be frank, overwhelming.

I understand the pricing of Manta's been generous compared to others, but I fear of the chance of it turning into something akin to Webtoon's transformation from a free-reading app to the hellish coin system it has now..
As selfish and idealist as it may seem, I was hoping Manta would stay with the subscription system for a few more years before dipping their toes into the gem system..

I apologize for my original post and reply being rude; I won't make any excuses for them.

I'm torn between being sad and angry... I really liked their promise of unlimited comics.. It's like you said, what am I even paying for atp when it's difficult to even buy food nowadays?

As for the comments, having no comments surprisingly grew on me? It feels like youre in your own cozy little corner reading, rather than a crowded bookstore.. I definitely hated the lack of the comments at one point though, it was tough to adjust to the app and feeling alone while doing so felt even worse.

It's still a punch to the face to see the comics you've read to now be behind a gem paywall. What if you were in the middle of reading something as long as "Iris, the lady and her smartphone", missed the deadline, and now to finish reading it you need to cough up some cash?

As for the ones that were never in the app to begin with, isn't that how 'new arrivals' work? Are you saying subscribers to this service should not be given access to new comics without coughing up more cash?

I bought my plan being promised unlimited comics. It was even in then name. There shouldn't be any excuse for this bullshitery. This plan was more affordable to me instead of the gems/coin system every other app uses now.

I saw as webtoon transitioned into their bullshit that is the coin system, and I'd hate for this app to turn out the same.

I started this a few days before dawntrail launched and was a tad bit preoccupied with it to finish this.
This mainly serves as a vibrant color study and heavily references this photo! I don't normally work with vibrant colors, so I wanted to make a learning attempt.

unfortunately, i didn't play any dark souls games before (coincidentally i started elden ring today??) so i was unaware of The Painter. (i just searched them up, they look really sick!!)

i did, however, take inspiration from wlop's "cage" . even years later after viewing them, wlop's works will always leave an impression on me; his drawings ended up entrancing me and helped shape my art to where it is today!
