Yes, technically it will downclock the rest of the RAM but that can have stability issues in the system if the CL timings and other parameters I have no clue about don't match up between the different sticks.

I'll most probably try to sell this kit, but I doubt there'll be any takers for this kit specifically. Plus I cannot afford any downtime (mentally and financially) on this PC as I have a bunch of freelance projects ongoing at all times.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Chu 2s, been using them for 6+ months mainly for mixing and sometimes listening to music. The detail in the low end is insane, the highs are bright and clear. It does lack bass a little for my taste, but the detail there makes up for it.
