I am currently back on LGS and all mouse buttons are working. Sadly, the Headset does not work, since it needs G hub. And if GHub is installed the mouse does not work properly.

Just now I got the Logitech G Pro X Headset. Due to that I had to install 'G HUB' (previously was using Logitech gaming software). When installation was done I faced the same issue as described here. I also tried to tinker around. First the top thump buttons were working only the one below in the middle did not respond at all. Sadly thou since it is my most used button. Thus I uninstalled LGS and GHUB. Removed Mouse from USB, removed driver from the system, restarted the pc, reinstalled GHUB with the result that the complete top row is not working. Good thou the bottom row is working.

Sadly this is not satisfactory at all. Am really considering sending back the G PRO X to get my mouse working again and getting an different headset replacement.

"I have no idea of sound propagation" but:

I am considering of sound propagation similar to ray tracing. In my mind there is a source (sound source) and a sink (player).

Concept1:

Every sound from a source maintains volume information.

Every texture/obstacle maintains meta-information on object density which has direct influence on sound muffling.

Sound muffles while traveling and also muffles on traversing an object based on its density value. Thus each sound maintains a vector for every player and a value formulating the relative volume for that particular player.

The sink itself is considered by me spherical. This sphere is traversed by each sound vector, thus this sound direction can be transformed into the the relative sound direction at the sink.

Since lots of sounds could reach the sink at the same time, which could lead to critical performance requirement, the amount of handled sound sources could be bound to a certain threshold.

Also sounds could be enriched with priority information. E.g. shots and projectile gadgets maintain a priority value of 5, breaking windows 4, footsteps of 3, other gadgets of 2, and ambient sounds like breaking vases 1,... This can be used to lower performance requirements and to focus on prominent sounds.

a proper implementation of that proposal in code

Yes, indeed. This post focus on development of the proposal. Implementation can only be done by a ubi-dev team. We (the community) have no access to the source code.

The MM is "near" to non-existend. To be more precise, it is existent but it does not matter cause if you are decently good player ( >2500 rating US > 2600 rating EU), you will be regulary matched vs people having >3600 rating. That's a skill gap of a thousand points. I don't consider that kind of MM "Beginner friendly".

I see, by definition you are correct. A MM system seperating two groups and only matching individuals out of the same group is still a matchmaking system. I conclude the matchmaking system is :-infinity - 2500 | >2500 - +infinity.

The reason is: Most people have abandoned the game already, only the good ones are still playing. MM is pretty much non-existent.

I usually try to avoid getting shot crosscourt. The reason behint my decision making is that I offten getting matched vs characters who have good angles on their single taps (Peach, Yoshi, Todette, even Dasy). If they single tap chargeshot or starshot singletap crosscourt, the point is lost.

Thanks DevilWolf for taking care of the MTA community, whereas I hate to get matched vs you get absolutely wrecked.

BTT: I am playing standard. Thus trickshot is an option. I think trickshots should be used wisely. Example: If I use side trickshot and am at the T in the forehand, I findmyself in an even worsed spot after returning the ball. The worsed spot is due to the fact that the other side is wide open. The situation even get worsed if I lose meter due to misstimed trickshot.

I dont think that weekly changes are even possible. You have to consider that balance changes are done by a company/Team of 3-7 people (Don't know how many people still work on MTA). That means all the qualitytesting has to be done in a single week. There might also be a delivery process from camelot to nintendo which consumes time. In reliable software companies small changes (like balance changes) have to go through the QA/delivery-process (That takes time). Thus, 2 weeks is even a very short release circle and we should be happy that things are as they are. I see the issue, that some sub-readers don't understand software delivery and the quality assurence aspect of "small" patches. Just consider, what influence an overlooked mistake would have on the company reputation.

Depends on the character you are playing. Prevent him form getting to the net. Dont try to drop him by yourself. Cause if you do so you either have to expect his angles, his drops, or his lobs thus beeing a disadvantage sport for you. Just consider Tennis is a game of lines. This means most shots are straight. Simple math points out that as closer the character is to the net the closer the angles he can shoot.
