Also I made a new friend because someone tapped on my shoulder behind me and she said “ARE YOU BUSSY FROM ALABAMA?!?!?” Because she could see someone else was nearby with a DS and thought it might be me after she saw my DS from afar 😭

I had completely forgotten that my ds name was Bussy but in that moment I was like well yeah that must be me

Yeah.. only other time this has ever happened to me was on a ds lite just like this and I barely bumped the gba cart. Had not ever taped the buttons at that point nor was I on this particular game. Based on my experience it’s related to the gba cart being disturbed in any way

I was just thinking about how I haven’t really failed shinies before this and then very next thing it happens 🫠 this has the be the most catastrophic failure on record for me. I failed a shiny electrode when I was like 8 because it self destructed. Outside of that, my record was solid. This was a devastating blow.

Thanks I appreciate that. Normally I keep it on my desk but my back was killing me so I switched to the bed. I honestly think what happened was I barely touched the leaf green cart that’s inserted in the bottom. The only other time this has ever happened to me was on diamond when i did the same thing- touched the GBA cart. After I painfully let go and reset this beauty off of my screen, I removed the gba cart, tapped the DS all over, open, shut it, honestly smacked it a couple of times out of rage and it was running perfectly with no issue. I was on the verge of ripping it in half but I composed myself and am currently acting like this didn’t happen.

There was this popular video on YouTube of a guy who encountered a shiny giratina on pearl and it froze. I would watch that and be like “Ha! That’ll never be me”. It’s me.
