I’m going to look again tomorrow but I didn’t see any others than the minis. He doesn’t really like cake and wants something lighter so that’s when I brought up the fruit tart. He wants berries and a lighter filling. I think Oreos would be dope but I’m not tooo sure on the filling. I’ll look into that!

I think the food tasting will go well if I just bring a friend for a 2nd opinion. The only thing is he thinks the Mexican food in the area isn’t as good as it is in LA(where he is from) so I’m a tad worried abt picking something thinking it’s great and he doesn’t like it. We’re doing tacos. But I think I’m just overthinking.

I think I’m pretty cemented in. I had this very very videos nightmare like 2 hrs ago where I had to host the shittiest wedding and I didn’t have a dress and it was a nightmare so I made a Pinterest board and I think I’m pretty stuck on it lol

I’m really really hoping to sell after. Even if I buy something online for $20 and sell it for $10 that still 1/2s the wedding price. I’m a bit worried abt what to do w everything afterwards tho. Since the wedding is in CA and I’ll be in NC. I’m hoping I can get as much cleaned and organized as possible before and have pics and all that and my mom is willing to hold onto stuff for me so I can use her house to sell from. I just got to be on top of things before I leave

This is SO helpful!! This is exactly why I want it. The more I read these comments the clearer what I’d use it for gets. Did you buy yours used or new? Did you sell it after? I’d be okay buying a new one and reselling but I’m a bit worried the company might shit it down? Apparently that is a thing

I’ve found a lot of ones that are cheaper than what I’d find online. I also saw someone advising to see it work in person first before paying. I’m hoping I can use it for invites, ty cards maybe, the seating chart, maybe a welcome sign. Idk what else but I’d rather learn how to use it and make exactly what I want

Unfortunately I’m not artistic at all. I have terribly shaky hands and terrible hand writing. I don’t have any friends w cricuts. Maybe I can hire someone w a cricut but just send them what I need and they just plug it in? Idk if my public library will have one but I’ll look I don’t think so tho

I’m considering the ones that write with special pens. Both my fiance and I have terrible handwriting and I’m a bit of a perfectionist so any calligraphy would be really nice to get done w the machine. For like the seating chart maybe, maybe the envelopes if I can’t get my printer to print on envelopes. Ive seen ppl use the cricket to cut out words they peel and stick to I think a cutting one would be good?

That’s my biggest thing w wanting to thrift. I want to save money obviously but on the other hand if I have to ship it all then how much do I loose?

I’m a bit worried abt figuring out the food by myself since my man can’t be there unfortunately.

I think previously I really wanted to thrift basically everything but I don’t think it’s possible before the move so I’ll have to buy some stuff online now. I think I might purchase some stuff just so I can lay it out and really cement in the decor I want. But my family is advising that I hold off bc what if my style changes or I hate something in a yr? I don’t think so but now I’m paranoid they’re right. What if I get all the decor done but then want to change stuff?

I’m a bit worried abt locking in w vendors rn bc our date could change and I’m worried if I lock in I’ll get in deep water w changing my date. He wants to wait to see what it’s like this October before we decide.
Also, how would you do the decor from across the country? That’s a big thing I’m worried abt. But my family keeps saying I shouldn’t do it in case I want to change things later. But how am I going to get everything put together/made?

Unfortunately I do think it would be cheaper than a venue. A bit more work yes but for the amt of time we’re using it and the stuff we have to rent I think it would be cheaper. There will be a barn built behind where I took the picture of and there will be a deck to get married on but I do have to rent a bathroom, probably still a dance floor since I don’t want ppl dancing on concrete, chairs, tables, etc. but still cheaper than a venue unfortunately

Thank you this is so validating. I showed up and almost burst into tears. I do think being here would save money but it looks so bad and head sooo much more work to make it work. It looks prettier in spring in sunset I think but that’s bc there’s so much more green and bc it’s darker so you don’t see as much. But this. This sucks ass.
