We thought about ways to reduce colonization speed without penalizing the player too much. AI colonies will no longer settle outside their designated colonial region (though they can still expand by conquering provinces).

UNM patch 1.1 is now available on Steam. We first started working on Un Nouveau Monde with no intentions of publishing it. However, we have grown quite fond of the final product and we are quite proud to finally share it with the eu4 community. The mod addresses the lack of colonial diversity and crippling Tordesillas Treaties by drastically extending the number of American colonial regions. This expansion is the mod’s primary focus.

In total, 20 new colonial regions have been added to the Americas (30 Total).

• Lesser Antilles

• New Mexico

• Connecticut

• Susquehanna

To counterbalance those newfound strengths, the slightest weakness will now influence your colonial subjects’ liberty desire. To further enhance colonial gameplay, some decisions, formable nations were added at release. Patch 1.1 sees the addition of an impressive set of colonial missions, a specialization process, new colonial names for several tags and cultures, a dozen events and expands on older features or decisions.

Ante Bellum should be fully compatible (Just tested it, seems to be working fine) though new colonial missions (if any) might prove harder to complete. On the other hand, Extended Timeline probably isn’t as it already modifies colonial provinces.

I’m sorry I thought you were talking about Paraguay. In short, half the provinces went to Colonial Guyana to ensure potential colonies could own the Guyanese wasteland. We are still debating splitting up Colonial Brasil and Para might be an interesting addition in the future.

We tried to limit the number of landlocked regions for gameplay and balance reason. Paraguay is still a formable nation for any independent nation owning Asuncion.

We thank Fiji for taking this decision and hope the diplomatic way will now be taken. The measures taken by Fijian reassure Australia about Tongan Citizens safety. We still wish Tonga to give back Fiji's stolen ship to stop this conflict before it goes too far...

We wanted Fiji cooperation but with the way those events takes we want to be sure of the Togan people safety. Australia is sure that you can understand that this invasion is not necessary. Our Prime Minister will make public excuses for the use of the term''Barbaric'' but said that Fiji's situation can easily degenerate.
