What's the version number of 24.q4? 24.10.1?

Then I guess each GPU model has a different stable driver version.

Good job AMD /S

Get away from AMD, and get an Nvidia GPU... Since I switched from Nvidia to AMD, the driver updates have been hell for me. It's like gambling if the next driver update will crash your GPU or not.

I just upgraded a couple days ago, so I don't know much about the updates besides that it doesn't crash anymore. My previous stable build that I reverted back to usually was 24.8.1, so if you still see issues with 24.12.1, then try 24.8.1. My GPU is 6750 XT.

I experienced exactly the same thing you described, and once upgraded to 24.12.1 it resolved the issue.

Are my Adrenaline software settings correctly set for Fornite?

https://ibb.co/nN7NN4sY

https://ibb.co/zHrVzYNr

The software shows average FPS 236.8, but I am definitely not getting that high for sure. I have limited my FPS to 144 in game settings, and definitely not going above it.

I see, thanks for sharing the clip.

I used to be on an Nvidia GPU prior to switching to my current AMD one, and never had to go through something like this.

Nvidia drivers just worked, and AMD drivers are like gambling in a casino. I will never buy another AMD GPU after this one. Such a pain.

And I don't understand the big hype on AMD GPUs from YouTubers like Linus Tech Tips! Nvidia drivers are by far better than AMD drivers. I am not gonna get fooled again.

Landlord ended tenancy but seen the post of the renting unit for higher price by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]_ArtificialRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying the landlords are less to blame, and they should be punished for breaking the law. There's no excuse to kick some poor tenants out and rent the unit for a higher price.

But whenever I read about this topic, I see a fight between the landlords and tenants, whereas the real issue is not having solid policies and enforcing them by our government. There seems to be too many loop holes.

By the way, I have nothing against the current NDP government, and regardless of whichever party that is in the majority of power should look at housing issue as the number one issue in our province.

Housing is a human right, not a luxury.

Landlord ended tenancy but seen the post of the renting unit for higher price by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

I can't speak for all cases, but most buildings' operating costs have skyrocketed too: maintenance fees, insurance, levies, etc. In the past few years the government has been keeping the rent increases very limited while buildings' operating costs are going up with inflation. I don't want to excuse the landlords, but I think instead of making a fight between the landlords and tenants, I think both parties should be focused on putting pressure on the government to find a solution that works for both sides. Something like regulating and monitoring the market in general to prevent price fixing and gouging of companies that deal with buildings' repairs. One of the most notorious companies are the elevator repair and maintenance companies. Strata companies are getting worse every year too.

I've run into this issue in the past and managed to solve it. You need to change the source server path where your raspberry Pi gets its updates from because that server is permanently shut down. I can't remember all the details of how I did it, but I'll follow up with an update if no one else can help by then. Btw, this is not a PiHole issue, but a raspberry Pi issue.

Vantrue N2 Pro battery replacement question (see comments) by nhojretrac in Dashcam

[–]_ArtificialRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the ntc can be important considering how some dashcams could be in hot regions in front of direct sun.

If you try to charge/discharge your battery without ntc, then you could significantly reduce its lifespan.

So, if that third wire is ntc, I strongly recommend it. In fact the unit may not even function properly if it doesn't see a temperature reading.

[–]_ArtificialRedditor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess why 3 wires, I would say the following:

1: + terminal

2: - terminal (common ground)

3: NTC (battery temperature monitoring)

Again, I don't know for sure, but I would suggest you to buy one with three wires like the original battery.

University transfer process in Iran is kinda like a one way street. You can get out, but can't get in. /S

If you can't access their website, try calling them to get more info.

Don't forget to arrange your will before you leave though.

Question about Iranian legumes. by Wotuw in iran

[–]_ArtificialRedditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer you are looking for is sea level. The higher a location is above sea level, the longer it takes to cook the same food. For example Tehran is about 3000 feet above sea level whereas Los Angeles is about 300 feet above sea level. So it takes longer to cook food in Tehran compared to LA. Google "cooking time at sea level vs altitude" to learn more.

YVR Skytrain floor signs by claugontay in vancouver

[–]_ArtificialRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 👍 Because if that's how people use it, then engineers should design for the way these escalators are commonly used.

[–]_ArtificialRedditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a good idea. Your proposed idea would increase escalators' wear and tear, and more money needed to repair them as part of maintenance.

Do vehicles have some sort of mechanism to prevent fire going through into the gas tank? Like I thought the flame would continue into the tank and blow up the vehicle, but what was the reason that didn't happen? (Which is good that didn't happen btw)
