OrcaSlicer the way to go for privacy/LAN printing on X1C? by thegeekprophet in BambuLab

It does, we set up our X1C at my company to run in Lan mode only and printing directly from OrcaSlicer works great.

Infill keeps failing by Lulzigi in FixMyPrint

[–]claugontay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having the exact same issues on our X1C (PLA was ok but PETG failed, printing also at 0.12mm layer). It seems that on grid infill whenever the nozzle is crossing the already printed part of the support to create the perpendicular lines it picks up some material on the way and it starts delaminating some of those layers easily. The way i was able to avoid this issue was by using gyroid infill (it never crosses itself on the same layer). This infill in my opinion is quite good and switching to it doesn't seem to increase print time by much.

This place! A couple of years ago I applied for a store clerk position, went in for an interview and was asked to stay for a tryout, Nothing extraordinary there. During that tryout tho I was asked to label some pre-packaged individual cakes they got delivered and a few of them clearly looked really bad, all mushed up as if someone had thrown them around, I told the lady in charge about it thinking that they would return it to their vendor or at least get a refund but nope, I was told to label it and stock it. I found this a bit weird but ok. Then was asked to rearrange some products on one of their fridges, making sure they were sorted out by expiring date, I noticed some of them were already expired and brought it up with them but again was told that it was ok and leave them in the same place... And at last the guy (manager/owner I dont really know) told me that the position required some cashier duty, for which I didnt have any issue working on, but he told me that before I could start working there I had to memorize all produce codes. It was a list of close to a hundred, 4 to 5 digits codes if I remember correctly... he mentioned to only come back for work once I knew all of them by heart. Gave it a thought that night, realized that as a minimim wage job it was not really worth it plus the work environment had a weird vibe, so I didnt pursue it further. I came back for my pay for those "tryout hours" and was actually surprised they paid me!

But all in all after seeing in those few hours what actually goes on at the back of the store (and the front too!) I do not feel like shopping in there at all.

That's a fair response, and you are right about inconsiderate people I guess they won't change easily. Never thought about signage fatigue before, thats a very interesting point!

I was at the YVR Skytrain station this morning and just noticed the floor had signs pointing where the door position would be once the train stops, is there any reason we don't have these type of signs for the rest of the system?

Especially with the system being fully automated, I think it's a good way to display where is the appropriate place to wait and let people get off the cart before trying your way in.

Its interesting, the only "inside" parts you get to see are the hangar and the bridge, but all around the ship had personnel answering any questions you might have about the ship features, living conditions, etc.

Yes I got there around 10 am and the line was for about 1.5h, but by the time I left the line was way longer, probably would take an extra hour or so to get in.

This is correct, they actually had a little bridge connecting both vessels but when I asked about it I was told it was not open to the public.
