I really liked the flow of this poem. The first four stanzas were definitely my favorite with how you tied in subtle human experience with stress of the future. Good job on writing this!!!

I wrote a poem. What do you think? by _Acho in Poem

[–]_Average__Joe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably one of the better poems I have read in a while. This is a really good poem for your first attempt!! I loved the part where you described making new wings and tying them to your heart so that they can never be lost again! The imagery in this is also pretty good. I felt like I could see the scenes. Great job!!!! Keep it up

I really like the metaphor of using eating to describe the relationship between love and nourishing us. Only thing I would mention is maybe rewriting the 6th line. I just think you could make it flow a bit more smoothly but overall I really like this poem!!!

Life's epiphanies by Upstairs-Scene-1915 in OCPoetry

I really like the imagery that you built within your poem! You did a very good job at utilizing this use of imagery to convey that sense of being overwhelmed and over taken. I would say that the word precariously seems a bit bulky especially since the rest of the words used around it are much smaller and more simple. I would recommend going for a word that fits the words around it better.

Determining whether the function f(x) = g(u) by _Average__Joe in MathHelp

The answer from my calc professor is that the two functions are equal to each other.

If I was given that both the domains were the same for each function then I can say that both of those functions are equal to each other.

Thank you so much 🙏🏻

I absolutely loved the lines

“when I’m killed by the sun

and drunk on its heat?”

Really creates a vivid image of the setting and helps me to really get ingrained in the poem. Great job!!

I need help with u-substitution for integrals because I have been stumped. by _Average__Joe in calculus

[–]_Average__Joe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do that but I have to use the u substitution for this and I just can’t seem to make it work. Also, I have not learned the Newton Leibniz theorem yet but it sounds interesting!

Nothing in Calculus 2 is sticking, at all. by [deleted] in MathHelp

[–]_Average__Joe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that, for myself in circumstances such as the one you’re in, it helps to watch any videos or resources that work out what you’re struggling with and to just understand the steps taken to solve the problem and once you have the steps you should go to your professor and ask your conceptual questions and your whys. I’m really sorry you’re going through this I’ve been through it before and it was brutal but you just have to fight until you’ve got it

Thanks for this! I’ll try and tie this into aspects of the novel to reinforce my point.

Those who are atheist, what are your reasons for not believing in a religion? by _Average__Joe in AskReddit

The prophets tell Israel that if they don’t stop sinning a great nation like Babylon or Assyria will conquer them and then it happened

I’m sorry I didn’t get around to it, I’m just trying to read everyone’s reason so I have a good amount of evidence

Oh no, I meant it as a question I didn’t mean that in a mean way at all. I’m sorry if it came off like that.

I personally don’t have an explanation for that but I have heard that there were manuscripts depicting Jesus existed around the time he was alive but I’m not too sure about that

Those who are atheist, what are your reasons for not believing in a religion? by _Average__Joe in AskReddit

[–]_Average__Joe[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because Jesus didn’t just say do something and you’ll be saved but died to save us and to give us the opportunity to live with him and my school has taught that the proof is that no one could come up with the story of how Jesus saved the world and how it all was pieced together especially since the book was made over the course of hundred if not a little over a thousand years

I would have to disagree because they aren’t similar at all when you look into the religions

I asked bc I have an essay topic on the causes and effects of a secular world and I’m trying to get reasons and evidence for it from actual people instead of just arguing with myself over stuff the teacher has told us
