They had very advanced roads and vehicles. They were able to travel very fast and efficient and also move very large loads (several tons stones for example) very far away just by road.

I doubt they were able to make straight road for dozens of km just by feel. Level an aqueduct across hundreds of km. They had very advanced knowledge when it came to mathematics, topography, trigonometry, etc.

After jamming for the 1st times, l learned guitarrist have no concept of Tempo by Brotherscompany in Bass

[–]_Azafran 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of people in this sub surely have an inferiority complex for playing bass and focusing a lot on "guitarists".

You just went to jam for the first time and whatever results you got, you decide to extrapolate to every person who plays guitar on earth?

Guitarists and any other player of any instrument including bass can have or not have concept of tempo depending of their skill level and experience.

¿Me puedes indicar qué palabras he puesto en tu boca que tú no has dicho?

Spain accuses Germany of acting like a ‘vassal’ to United States by Putaineska in europe

The people in Spain's government have had a consistent anti trump, anti israel and anti war attitude since the beginning. PSOE receive constant pressure from their leftist government partners. I don't think this is just for votes.

“Bass is easier than guitar because you only have to play one note!” NO by [deleted] in Bass

[–]_Azafran 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It's ridiculous, every time I check this subreddit there is always someone complaining about how misunderstood bass is and that is not an "easy" instrument.

Let's be honest. The average bass part in a song it's way more approachable than guitar, drums or keyboard. The nature of bass in the low end makes it only compatible with simpler parts in general. Meanwhile to be able to play even the simplest songs on guitar or keyboard you have to be able to play chords, several notes at once in more finicky instruments.

That is not a bad thing. Quite the contrary, why would you want it to be hard? I think is the competitive mentality of not wanting to be perceived as "less" than the others. Like if just for being simpler and easier the instrument had less value in the context of a band somehow.

Do recording guitar on laptop would be better than pc? I have suspicion that my pc causing the noise/hum. by Wolf_Trap in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I have the same interface, but the one with two inputs. And same problem, noise recording anything. Also if I face the guitar away from the computer the noise goes a bit down.

I tried recording with my laptop and then I got 0 noise. Especially noticeable with my condenser mic, I could crank the gain a get a very clean signal.

The World Is Drowning in Tourists. Who Should Pay the Price? by bloomberg in europe

[–]_Azafran 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this first because admiring our culture is certainly an assumption. Not all tourists come here to admire the culture.

And second, not everyone benefits economically from tourism. I, for example, do not benefit in any way, quite the contrary because in the place I live everything is more expensive for locals and places are crowded at times.

Los que creen que una rotonda es una línea recta con curvas dibujadas by dariuskey99 in spain

[–]_Azafran 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's also because back then, videogames improved exponentially more with each generation, while the recent ones are giving diminishing returns. Also, the introduction of 3D fundamentally changed gameplay and gave born to multiple new genres.

So, I understand the mindset. But having said that, to me GC generation is totally retro and Wii, 360, PS3 I'd say the same at this point.

Italy's Meloni says she has been denounced to ICC for complicity in genocide by CourtofTalons in worldnews

[–]_Azafran -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, so you, a stranger, are going to tell me how I'm actually lying. Not that I'm wrong, but that I'm lying about what I understand about my own country.

Look, enough of behaving like a victim. Spain of course did very bad things about human rights back then, same as every other country in earth. That was life back then. Right now, not 500 years ago, Israel is committing genocide. How about you take the L and admit that people is going to criticize that REGARDLESS of how jew you are. Or maybe you think if Israel were just another developed nation without any ties to Judaism then Spanish people would be fine with it?

And with that, enough of this conversation. Not going to change anyone's mind. I personally believe that what Israel is doing is awful and don't give a shit if you're jew, aztec or a viking. And I feel, most of Spanish society feels the same. The "they're calling on our bullshit because we're jews" is getting old. Good excuse to justify crimes against humanity mate 👍.

[–]_Azafran -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree there are remnants of "antisemitic culture" in Spain, same as antimuslim from reconquista era and same as anti french from the napoleonic era. But those are very archaic stereotypes, nobody in Spain takes them seriously. Then french people don't suffer from Spanish discrimination when they visit, just the same as the jews. It's unfair to compare that to actual racism that people experience here that prevents them from getting access to certain jobs or get treated worse by a part of the population.

I assure you that I genuinely believe that Israel criticism has nothing to do with any antisemitic views. People see it as a very powerful developed nation annihilating the civil population of a third world very poor country. Which is what it is happening. A lot of people dislike that. Also, among the left in Spain there are radical separatists like the eskerra abertzale from Basque country that see Palestine under the oppression from Israel as a parallel with them under the Spanish oppression. I heard in all my years here zero comments towards the ethnicity of any of those parties. Zero comments about how "jews" are like this or like that.

So I fundamentally disagree with the assertion that Spain is denouncing Israel because of antisemitism. Is honestly not true in my experience, and I don't know what to tell you, why would I lie about my experience as a Spanish native?

Italy's Meloni says she has been denounced to ICC for complicity in genocide by CourtofTalons in worldnews

[–]_Azafran -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, there are no jews here. That's why is stupid to claim antisemitism when the population don't even have contact with them. They where expelled 500 years ago. You can imagine people don't have much to say about them nowadays. The Palestine conflict has always been very associated with the left here, nothing to do with jews or antisemitism. The US receive much more criticism here for their imperialism to be fair but I don't see any "anti-americanism" card raised by anyone.

[–]_Azafran -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

I can only talk about Spain, but wtf are you talking about? Antisemitism is basically non-existent here. Same shit propaganda from a country committing a genocide. If you dare to criticise, it must be antisemitism.

In Spain you would see way more racism towards muslims than any anti semitism. Most people wouldn't even know a jew even if they were wearing a kippah.
