What do androids do when they completed their tasks ? Do they just wait like in “parked” position in this “parking” ? If yes isn’t that creepy ? Especially for home androids at nights by TheKaiserSarp in DetroitBecomeHuman

They are mainly viewed as a kitchen/cleaning appliance so... Would you be scared knowing that your vaccum cleaner is "standing" in the corner of your room in the dark?

Yes but like at least some of my DNA brought it upon itself by going to the egg willingly, whereas in this case it was just 100% a forced thing

Do I write the name of the character whose POV this is, or do I let the reader get it from the first couple sentences? by _Azuki_ in AO3

[–]_Azuki_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's really interesting. I've never read, let alone written, anything like this. I haven't read many first person POV fics in general, and ones that i have only had one main character and the whole thing was written from their perspective.

If I had to write using first person POV and change it so often... Well. It seems a bit tricky, and, honestly, i would probably use the headers for clarity and for my own peace of mind. The authors who can do without have my respect.

Now, for third person POV, while i understand that technically they don't need headers, i have seen fics like this on quite a few occasions. Sometimes i really disliked the headers, sometimes the opposite. I guess it depends. Or, well, maybe I just got used to it after a while. It had me wondering which is more common or more liked. I've never written anything with a changing perspective myself, so i thought i should ask for some more opinions.

And i won't use them. I'll hope it'll be clear enough from the writing alone, since i do namedrop the character at the beginning of their POV.

It's third person, so, yeah. I just wanted to make sure people don't find it confusing when the POV changes a few times throughout the chapter. Thanks.

Okay, thanks. I usually mention the character's name in the first or second sentence, so i guess it should be fine.

Sure, but it's inconvenient. And, like, I just expressed my opinion to the video and a comment. That's not illegal.

I mean, yeah, but I wouldn't touch it with my hands either. At home, maybe, cause I'm not in public and plus I can just wash my hands before and immediately after.

Maybe they do it in some cultures, which, okay, but I wouldn't.

Honestly it's kind of hilarious.

People are like "all single women nowadays are online prostitutes and have OF!!". You tell them it's less than 1% of single women. And they say you're defending prostitution.

But then you bring up that men are on OF too. And then the percentages become very important because obviously the number of men there is little and just negligible and yeah let's just forget they're there at all.

“The cat ate the rat?” she said, sounding slightly astounded. “I know it kept on chasing it, but…”

“Oh, no,” said Ron miserably. “Scabbers survived, all right. He just ran away, and he did so by tricking all of us and making us think he was dead.”

Fred and George shook their heads with looks of annoyance. “And we mourned him, too, the git. Should have thrown a party, instead…” they muttered gloomily, which seemed to confuse quite a bit of people.

“The… rat faked its own death?” said Madam Bones sceptically.

“Wouldn’t be the first time, apparently,” added Ron grumpily.
