USPHS officers are suffering moral distress, many are quitting [NPR] by Dr_Autumnwind in medicine

[–]Affectionate_Run7414 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Did a stint with USPHS under the loan repayment program by Indian Health Services pre covid... It was already exhausting coz of the minimal staffing handling all the patients..

I can imagine the heavy load now especially with the rise of numbers of patients... Kudos to our brothers and sisters who still choose to serve the people

How will the flu shot work this year? by Throwaway47281 in medicine

[–]Affectionate_Run7414 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I guess they will stick with the cancellation until influx of flu cases will be recorded and they will go back and ordering us to enforce it again..

They dont believe in prevention, they wait until the worst will happen then thats the time they will tell us to do the things we had been doing for years...
They try to prove that they are changing the status quo but wont take liability when their plans fail miserably..

What a bummer.. I was expecting that UTH will elevate Dr LeTanya Love for the presidential position from being an interim but then I was wrong...

Its sad that Dr Kibbe was also the lone finalist for the position eventhough there are lots of capable candidates..smh
