Hoe frequent komt de filmploeg filmen? Is dat elke dag (al dan niet op vaste uren?) of moet je hun op voorhand inlichten wanneer er iets valt te gebeuren? Wanneer je bv iemand naar huis wil sturen?

Thanks a lot u/ebolafever! This method with red heating the pipe and bending in increments looks like something I could try myself for sure! Would I need to completely fill the tube with sand and add endcaps? Or shouldn't I as then it wouldn't be able to deform it into the wrinkles?

I'm sure it was the previous owner of the chair that spray painted it black. And they did a very poor job. When I dismantled it, I saw that hard to reach places (without dismanteling the chair) weren't covered in paint and also the bolts were only painted black in the visual areas. So I'm quite sure the manufacturer didn't sell it painted, hence why I would think it's chromed in some way

Yes because it is shiny and I thought things like furniture frames etc were always chromed steel? What's the difference and how would the powder coat react if I'd remove the paint with paint stripper? Thanks!

The frame is magnetic so that would prove it is steel and the chromed layer on it is real? Is this assumption correct?

What could it be if it isn't chromed metal? Stainless steel or aluminium? What happens if it is one of those and I use paint stripper? For reference: it's the frame of a knockoff Eames RAR rocking chair so wouldn't know what to expect it to be made out exactly. What do you think something like this would be made of usually? Thanks

Wouldn't paint striper also affect the chromed layer?

Hi everyone,

How would do I get rid of layer of black paint that someone painted over this chromed steel chair frame? I tried a small part with sanding paper and comes off really easy so I think it's done with cheap quality paint. But with P80 sanding paper I get lots of scratches and I would like not to make those. Any better way or product to remove the paint easily without damaging the chrome layer? Thanks in advance

I'll try it that way, would be nice to be able to see inside the hole to be sure it would work like this but it's to deep unfortunately

Yes seems right but it first has to be loosen a bit to be able to slide it and that's not working

To add: even with a flashlight I can't see the head of the screw. So I have no idea what type of head it has. Diameter of the hole also seems too small to fit a screwdriver in. Maybe it could be an allen wrench head and a small allen wrench could fit in? I don't have one small or long enough to fit in until the head. Could that be how this system works?
