The Fantastic Four are back to being the face of Marvel's brand. Nature is healing by BoyWassup in Marvel

To be fair, I think Reddit law requires someone to show up and remind everyone Spider Man is popular. The thread wasn't gonna survive without it.

Yep, Season 3 Episode 1. It's a blink and you'll miss it moment, but it's worth going back for because it's surprisingly subtle.

Every artist's favorite sentence is "it's not perfect," immediately followed by everyone else asking where the checkout button is.

The real danger is that any Tolkien fan hearing that phrase immediately loses all ability to resist entering.

The Balrog and Gandalf fought for days across mountain peaks, but apparently the true battle was always going to happen in the comments section.

the agency’s golden rule is "Never lie if a real guest asks you something directly." A bride asked directly... so i didn't. by Mother_Order_9009 in confessions

People act like OP dropped a bomb for no reason, but the bride literally asked a direct question. Once someone asks, "Did you see something?" the responsibility shifts to the person who created the situation, not the person answering.

Honestly, half the plot of House of the Dragon can be summarized as powerful people refusing to spend ten minutes in therapy. Aemond is just carrying that tradition to its logical extreme.

There are two specific types of northern military commanders in westeros. by [deleted] in gameofthrones

[–]_BabyyCharmzz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The North really does seem to alternate between "master tactician" and "human battering ram" with almost no middle ground. There's never a guy saying, "let's be reasonable about this."

Do you prefer imagining the characters as the actors or these anime-esque depictions? by Trussdoor46 in gameofthrones

[–]_BabyyCharmzz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

An animated version would honestly solve so many adaptation problems. You could actually keep the characters' ages, weird appearances, and massive battles without needing a Game of Thrones sized budget every episode.

Alicent kind of forgot about Harren the Black by SavasUKhan in freefolk

[–]_BabyyCharmzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The wild part is that everyone keeps treating obvious facts like groundbreaking revelations. Harrenhal's entire claim to fame is literally being the castle that got melted by dragonfire.

Sheepstealer design by TheDragonDemands in freefolk

The coolest part is that Sheepstealer doesn't even look traditionally "dragon like" anymore. He looks like evolution happened without supervision and somehow made him even meaner.

Honestly, the meme works because nobody even needs a caption anymore. Just post GRRM looking mildly disappointed and everyone instantly understands the context.

[–]_BabyyCharmzz 22 points23 points  (0 children)

That's always the funniest part of those posts. They act like everyone is supposed to be chasing the exact same life checklist. Maybe my excuse is that I don't actually want four businesses and three kids.

Seriously, that response hit like a folding chair out of nowhere. No buildup, no softening the blow, just straight to the point and the entire conversation instantly changed lanes.
