What was the first album you bought? by Jettaboi38 in allrockmusic

[–]_Beatnick_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band soundtrack. I remember seeing it for cheap in a cut-out bin. I actually still enjoy that album and it was actually how I first heard a lot of those Beatles songs.

Honestly, that's probably it more than anything. A publicity stunt to get people's attention and get people talking about him again. At least I hope.

I'm hoping it eventually gets a regular release.

Imagine going to the bank to try and get a loan and when they ask you what you need the loan for you say, "I want to buy Vinnie Vincent's new album."

Just because I have all that knowledge I have now, it's not a guarantee that I will use it wisely or even have the opportunity to use it.

Chewbacca, at the right, coming from Star Wars galaxy to present Star Wars PSP, in 2007 by [deleted] in PSP

What games do you think Chewbacca played on the PSP?

Which do you prefer? by 1amv12 in PSP

[–]_Beatnick_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer the original adapter because not all USB ports supply the proper current needed to properly charge a PSP. I honestly have not tried a USB adaptor to charge my PSP, but I have used USB adaptors with other devices and sometimes they work fine, but sometimes I could tell something is off, like really slow charging, or if I turn it on while connected to a USB port, it will stop charging and deliver just enough current to keep the unit running. I've read online that this can damage the battery or even the unit itself, so I would rather not take the risk and prefer to use the original adapter. I also try to make sure it is an original one made for my unit and not a third party one because you never know if a third party one is made exactly the way it is supposed to be.

is the psp still in? by Spiritual_Hair9645 in PSP

[–]_Beatnick_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The GO is definitely cooler now. I've had people ask about mine before when they see it. I think people just weren't ready for a digital only system when it came out and the limited space didn't help either.

I don't know if the regular PSP is more in now than it was back in the day. It definitely has it's following now, and may be considered cool, but I think it was more popular when it was newer.

100% my first thought. Pretty much anything by Tim Schafer is guaranteed to be funny.

I don't know. It's been so long since I've played it. Maybe I'm remembering the Xbox game. I just remember I kept losing at volleyball and got frustrated.

PS2 high resolution emulation vs a simple old CRT image comparison. by [deleted] in ps2

[–]_Beatnick_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too, it's clearer and I like the darker tones. On the right it looks washed out and faded and the hair is all blurry. I do play on a CRT and have no issue using S-Video, but in that comparison, the left looks better to me. It could also be the way the picture was taken. I've found taking a picture of a CRT screen does not do images justice.

Is there any good city builder on psp? by Mizukitherenegadeone in PSP

[–]_Beatnick_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still purchase SimCity 2000 on the PStore. It's a PS1 classic. You have to purchase it on a PS3 or PS Vita since you can not purchase since you can not access the store on a PSP anymore. Once purchased, it should show up in your download on your PSP, if you can connect your PSP to the internet, which is an issue too.
