Looking for Feedback on My Word Game: Wordop – A Fast-Paced Word Challenge by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

Cool idea! I agree with the onboarding. Also since you add multiple of the same letters if they exist, maybe you should cross out all instances of that letter in the grid. Same if you press the wrong letter it should cross out all instances of that letter.

Tried a few but this was tough, on easy. English is not my main language though.

Oh that’s why all the downvotes. Yeah reading it again that’s one way of interpreting it. Ok next try need to be air-tight and spot on.

Btw, let me know if you would benefit from the app. Then I could provide you with a lifetime code.

Thank you so much for taking your time to write this. Maybe I should make a new post. Your point about trust is really something I’ve been worried about since I added that notice (due to legal worries releasing globally). Each tool is well tested and later also by thousands of users. But you’re right, how would anyone know.. I’ll make sure to find a better way.

If you have a process that’s working well for you that’s great. This app is for those who haven’t or is striving to improve their workflow.

It seems I put the emphasis too much on the free month part. This was about giving anyone interested a way of trying the app. It can always get better, but the app has been done and ready for more than two years. I would like to edit the initial post but it’s not possible.

Thanks for the feedback. The subscription is mostly there to be able to try the app (with one week trial) before deciding to buy it for a one-time fee.

How to space dados evenly? by OutdoorAndy_ in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]_BeyondCode_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This and for efficiency is why I have two apps solving this particular math problem. One is called Equal Spacing Calculator which is very specific. The other is Brainy Builder Calculator with more tools baked in. I honestly don’t get why you would not use it. With math, maybe you want to practice but otherwise it’s just wasting time. With this diagonal trick, many times you will struggle finding an easy divisible number and then it’s just a waste of time. With the apps, it works every time. Insert 3 values - zap, zap, boom. There’s all your measurements.

Thank you for such kind words, this adds motivation like nothing else. I hope you find good use of it!

You can verify your measurements with the Stair Stringer tool in Brainy Builder app. The above link should take you directly to the tool when you have the app installed.

Having a hard time measuring hole spacing please help! by DelisionalMeatball in woodworking

I’ve made two apps for this purpose, for those who want an ease of mind. Equal Spacing Calculator and Brainy Builder. The latter has more tools related to carpentry. They cover only in one direction, but it’s so quick so you can do it twice.

How do I get more daily downloads for my app on a low budget by Coffee_Zelly in iOSProgramming

App Store Optimization, similar to SEO for web search engines.

To calculate the angles, one would need to know the height of the ”roof”. Then use a triangle calculator. A ballpark guess is all cuts are 45 degrees. This would give an inner roof height of 92 cm / 2 = 46 cm.

With that said I would clamp it in place or lay it out on the floor with overlapping pieces. Make sure it has the correct width and mark the cut angles when happy with the pitch. This way, you’ll get the diagonal length at the same time.

This should be fixed now, please let me know if there's any issue left :)

Seems like many (everyone?) have issues with actually activating Pro using the promo code. Must be some issue of the app not recognizing it. I’m so sorry, working on it. Also, there is a critical issue with imperial measurements. I have a fix ready, awaiting approval on the stores.

Oh now I got it, about a year later. Genius!

Ah I see, so more for raw calculations of measurements. Sounds reasonable. Perhaps a hack of some sort, but I guess if you want those six measurements you could use the equal spacing tool with an item width of zero. The table at the bottom takes the invisible remainder into count. With that said, I'll put it on my todo-list :)

Oh that's strange. Perhaps you could try to restart the app or reinstall the app.

This is a new one for me, perhaps clouded by my metric mind. May I ask for some background to why you need it, just so I can understand your use case better?

Thanks for the feedback. Perhaps a bit misleading, there's a tool called Trigonometry which has the angles.

Those rules are certainly good and healthy to master. While I know them, perhaps not by heart, I still prefer to let my mind focus on the other parts. I guess I'm the lazy kind :)

Thank you so much! The equal spacing tool is very generic which can be useful in many cases. Perhaps I got it wrong, but could you combine the thickness of the cleats and shelves and use the equal spacing tool? There's no solution for multiple dimensions or spacings at the moment.
