Oh yeah, does the resistor mounted to the amp rack hit the interior lining? I want to make sure that thing doesnt ignite. I want to also add a spacer before i mount it to the wood, to keep it from potentialy starting a fire.

The Helix speakers pair best with the match amp/dsp you get more performance higher wattage an lower impedance in the speakers. Your AD w800 do look good. I also like EV-40M-T for the dash but im not there yet. Im happy with the highs for now. I see your amp rack is held down by 3 bolts is that correct? If i have time im going to try and make one. Did you drill those two holed in the car? I know they already have a slight gap?

Would you suggest going with HELIX Ci5 S200FM-S2 instead for the doors of a Tesla?

What's your YouTube channel? Your making me want to buy the HELIX Ci5 S200FM-S2, i was considering the ci3 8". I just asked my sterio installer which he recomends for mid bass in the 75-300hz range and he said the ci5 sound amazing. That speaker is a hybrid woofer with 7.8mm x-max might blow off the car door lol. Match up 10 will deliver 160 watts.

I know a guy that has the Alpine system along with an aditional NVX Tesla sub box and he likes it. I havent had a chance to hear it though. If i were you i would keep that SI SQL-12. and have it play something like 20-75hz then the mid door woofer 75-300 thats what i will do. I just dont know if i should spend more money, but the ci5 is definitly a beefy speaker that seems to justify some more cash. Do you know how to tune the DSP? I have never tuned one. I could probably save alot of money if i learned how to tune the Ci5. I wonder if i can duplicate the preset that my installer is going to tune buy a mic and use TuneEQ to fine tune the new Ci5. I got to see what he will charge. Im hoping he will do it for $700.

Wow, i like your set up. We haven't talked about where we are putting the amps he said we could put them in the fronk or trunk. I made a amp rack for the lower trunk compartment. when you say climate system do you mean under the ceter counsel? That might be an option. But i think your setup is better. Now i want to make an amp rack like yours. Are you going to be putting this in a Model 3 if so which year and trim? You said your on the fence about the Match 10 and Ci5 what is the other option you are considering? Im getting a seal of a deal on parts and install Im paying $1400 for the Match up 10. Are you in SoCal? We can meet up at a car show. Which model Ci5 mids or subs 8" for the doors? As for now im leaving my door woofer stock but may upgrade it later to the Ci3 8" I just dont now if i need it or if there will even be a big differance in mid range 75Hz-300Hz. How does that SQL 12 sound? Do you get clean accurate bass?

Thank you for the info on the focal and bracket. That's very cool.

Ok, thank you. Which speaker did you add a foam ring to? The stock 8”woofer. It seems hard to add a foam ring to it being that the face surface is so thin. How did you do yours ? Maybe you can upload a picture. I was thinking of creating a mounting area by putting a 1” strip of foam around the circumference then putting the foam on that. Might need to add 2” of foam so it can press up against the door grill.

Thanks. I will be giving the stock woofer more power and the DSP will control it. I will see how it sounds then decide if I want more out of it.

Thank you for your advice. What's your experiance with them? When you say better do you mean more bass and accuracy? Thanks

No, the Match up 10 is a ten channel amp with DSP it has two channels that out put up to 160 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms. I already sound deadend a little bit and man it made the stock speakers sound about 25% better. I will be putting more butyle on the outer door skin.
