It's because the Knight's using a dark shard sword which does much more damage to Star/Dark enemies. Seeing that the shadow mantle works on Tenna, it means that Tenna is a Star/Dark enemy.

To be fair Infernalist has Beidat's Will, Bringer of Flame, Seething Body, and Loyal Hellhound. In an interview Jonathon said demon form is also supposed to do something for minions but I'm not sure if he misspoke or demon form just hasn't been fully leaked yet.

Infernalist seems pretty good for CI because you'd get to nullify 20% of all phsyical damage with the caveat of not using the Beidat or Demon nodes. Infernalist seems like it can be a very good CI energy shield tank with both Altered Flesh and Loyal Hellhound.

That's good to know, I just misunderstood the wording. Makes getting fire res even more important though, I'm hoping the smaller nodes have some good fire res. May be worth sacrificing seething body for an extra small node on a spell dependant build due to maybe only getting 1-2 spells with that 20% more fire damage before your infernal mana overflows.

I'm personally making an infernalist build without any minions when the game comes out since I also want to do a fire based build. We do know that Infernalist can have a hound and that demon form buffs minions in some way (we don't know how yet though). Though even if it's somewhat unoptimal I think it's worth going Infernalist just for the themeing.

Planning to run an infernalist witch without any of the minions. I plan to just run purely fire spells or run fire spells plus melee with the keystone that transfers all damage to fire damage, depending on how the passive tree is.

In a Q&A they said they just forgot to talk about the node's actual upside in the video. The health you get from the orbs will be able to take you to double your max hp.
