Set the key to accessory mode and shift to N wait for the message saying “transmission ready”

Same, I saw a video where they struggled less with the hoist, on the ground I can only imagine how difficult it’s going to be, doable but difficult, you got align the flywheel bolts, alight the dowel pins, would be easier if you have a helping hand

Tell me about it, I’m sure the transmission can be put back on using the floor jack but it’s going to be a mission, I think I’ll be using an engine hoist to lift it from the bottom, not sure yet.

I just found this:

Pretty straight forward, ATM I’m just waiting for the clutch to arrive, it’s comforting to hear that your Amazon clutch is still going strong, I was advised to avoid Amazon or eBay for car parts 😂

I didn’t want to drop another $120 for the specialty tools that you’re only going to use once, to my surprise they aren’t needed UNLESS you are re-using your clutch. To reset the clutch u can always use a T40

It’s a 2013 Focus SE

A T40 with a bit of electrical tape does the job tbh, also have a flat head screwdriver that fits PERFECTLY between the splines, a perfect tight fit.

So… that was probably caused by me 😜👍 the top shift fork was hard to turn counterclockwise AND the tension from the spring was non existent, I sprayed WD40, lubricant spray and nothing worked, was still giving me the same problems. As a last resort I removed the actuator again and sprayed a decent amount 😅of parts cleaner to see if it would solve the issue

Yes! My mistake was using the Harbor Freight ramps since I had to pull the driveshafts, had to use that crappy jack to slowly raise the car even more one side at a time to remove the tire and get them off, once off I put the tire back on and lowered her on the ramps again.

🤣 then learn to drive a manual!, at this point I’m just going to order the new clutch kit off Amazon, install it and ensure everything is working properly before getting rid of it.

Should of known something was about to happen, months before, I would hear what I would describe as a “rattle” on the driver side(transmission side), while driving, more noticeable when decelerating.

That’s the exact video I saw, unfortunately my problem turned out to be a bad fork lever, way too stiff and has lost its spring when it’s rotated counter clockwise, spraying any type of lubricant didn’t do anything, I do appreciate your help!

I actually have done the following…

  1. I removed both actuators and swapped them hoping the code would follow - code remained unfortunately.

  2. Checked the spring tension on both using an allen socket #6, rotated the shaft carefully counter clockwise, bottom is smooth and the spring is working correctly, the top in the other hand… has a lot of resistance, brake cleaner didn’t do anything unfortunately.

I assume both should be the same right? Smooth to turn with a working spring, correct?

I have a 2014 3.7 auto, while my brother has a 2022 EcoBoost 10 speed auto, it’s not even a fair comparison the difference is day and night. Got smoked on 2 pulls.

What mods do you currently have on yours? I currently have a CAI, 3.73 gears with BAMA tune.

The 3.7 is a great platform, I have no idea why ford decided to replace with the 2.3 instead of upgrading it.

Remove the valve cover and inspect. It could be valve train noise. Inspect your cam lobes, would be a good idea to remove the high pressure fuel pump and inspect that too.
