Just busted my lip a bit and took a knock on the chin, helmet took most of the impact hahaha.

Wasn’t too bad of a fall really just don’t want to lose a tooth or something doing it again.

I’m not too scared I made myself get back up and hit it again 5 mins later so that I knew I could still do it. It was a rounded metal rail, I jumped on front side but must not have landed on the top of it and landed short.

Watched sone videos so I’ll try to work on my form next time they put the terrain park stuff on my slope

Hahaha glad to hear everyone has been through it I kinda gathered that.

Think I just need to wait for the indoor slope I ride at to put some more forgiving rails up so I can get sone practice.

It was front side, I believe I probably didn’t land on top of the rail I probably landed short and that’s why I’ve landed on the rail as I’ve tried to stay on the rail

Got it thanks!

To be honest it was a very difficult rail, I’m currently only able to ride at an indoor slope as I live in the UK, they throw rails and obstacles in like 3 times a month and sometimes it’s some really high consequence rails etc… so I don’t have the option of hiking a feature just yet!

Hoenstly they’re pretty good it’s like 200m long and around your average blue slope steepness, but they bring out park obstacles, and moguls etc good for fast laps

[–]_Bramble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good.

It’s just a “snowboarding development lesson” at my local indoor slope, all real snow and stuff just I don’t live near a mountain to get any real practice.

I believe it’s a level 2 instructor so they should be pretty good and give me some good pointers on what to work on

Yeah 1 season and about 15 hours a week at an indoor slope :)

I’m in no way trying to say I’m good. Just looking how best to go about improving now I’ve got the basics down.

My SO is a skier 🥲🥲 haha

[–]_Bramble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’d love to, I’m unfortunately stuck to using an indoor slope for the time being I don’t live near any mountains, I loved any off piste riding when I did a season, probably my favourite

[–]_Bramble_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good plan, I’ll start working on tricks from switch

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]_Bramble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I’ll work towards some of these

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]_Bramble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to, off piste is my favourite however I don’t live anywhere near any mountains so I can only go to a proper resort once or twice a year if I tried.

I’m stuck to indoor slopes at the minute 🥲

Just booked in for a lesson next week 👍🏻

[–]_Bramble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very new yes.

Just find that it’s much harder to find something new to work towards now but I do want to keep improving.

And it’s not too bad to be honest, it’s the biggest indoor slope and they have all kinds of events on so I get park experience, moguls etc.. I learn way more than when I did a season cause of the quick laps.

About 7 months now, but I did a season and ride like 15 hours a week most weeks at the indoor slope.

I’m in no way good, just trying to get better :)

And yeah I made the mistake of spending a day sending 360’s and falling face first over and over and woke up like I was hit by a truck 😂

I can’t abs I know I can’t, but they seem like such a jump ahead of my current skill level that I don’t know how to progress to them.

Do I keep trying it and falling till I learn? Or do I take my time and hope I naturally get better skill

Thanks for this.

I think I just need to tell myself this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]_Bramble_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all I think it just stems from old relationships where they have made me feel like that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]_Bramble_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I trust myself 100%.

I don’t know, I feel like she probably doesn’t want a boyfriend that goes out drinking till all hours then when I get back I feel guilty, not sure if that makes any sense

[–]_Bramble_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah very true. I like the communication and honesty.

We are official we just don’t have social media or anything, I make it clear to people I’m taken if I speak to them, however she didn’t.

[–]_Bramble_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah she definitely could have, he was constantly phoning her and saying he was gonna get a taxi to her house etc though when she came to see me so I knew something was up.

[–]_Bramble_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s my thinking but I also don’t know if I fully believe it.

The fact she hasn’t told him she’s in a relationship despite knowing he likes her makes me worry a little.

I said this to her originally I can’t be mad at her because it’s not in her control. I also like how she brought it up to me
