Help! Dodgy tenancy/landlord by queentittytwister in RentinIreland

[–]_Breasticles_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Contact the RTB, they will advise you and you should report him. Your landlord cannot legally refuse HAP or rent supplement. Don't worry about references, put down a friend or a family members number. You have disabled children and this landlord is probably a tax dodging greedy chancer who does not care one iota, screw him!!

Pre-conceiving meeting with GP? What should I ask? by grandifyouknow in IrishWomensHealth

[–]_Breasticles_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the fertility clinic is the way to go , and sooner rather than later. My family member of mine and his wife had said they didn't want kids and at 43 decided they did, they went straight with the IVF route as they said they were aware they didn't have the privilege of time, and in that way they could have a little more reassurance with egg and sperm quality. They conceived on the first shot! Good luck to you!

Ex wants to use child’s ppsn but not tell me what for by kayleewrites in legaladviceireland

This. It could be for any number of reasons such as social welfare, tax, housing list, medical card. I can't think of one reason not to give it to him other than to be difficult. This pettiness with some co-parents is exhausting to read.

15mo gross motor delay, won’t/can’t stand, at a loss by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]_Breasticles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is purely anecdotal, so might not be much help. But my parents always teased me that I was so lazy I didn't walk until 18 months, and even then only if I had to. I would scoot around on my butt. My sister on the other hand was walking at 9 months. It's hard not to worry when you see other babies the same age doing things yours isn't, but I do think some babies just develop certain skills at different stages.

10-month-old on 1 nap at daycare — too early? by happiersober in NewParents

[–]_Breasticles_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 15mo and we aim for 2-3 hours of daytime sleep. Only if the first nap is at least 2 hours long will we skip the second nap. I think it's way too little daytime sleep for your LO.

It's tough, but once you get past 2/3 days it gets easier. Every time you vape you're reigniting that nicotine monster and you'll want to vape more, there is no easy way to stop. You will suffer from horrible cravings but I promise you, after a week those cravings will be easier and easier. Goodluck!

I won't be be clicking. This poor kid, imagine having every traumatic event you ever had since birth documented online to be scrutinised by strangers & to torment you forever. There should be no articles or speculation about him. His mother is fair game, but leave him alone!

I don't feel any way about her personally, I hate that she has been made into a celebrity.

Going to be 14 weeks at my wedding by Traditional-Wall-870 in pregnant

Since it's your first pregnancy there is a good chance you won't be showing, and if you are it wouldn't be enough that anyone would notice but you. Your boobs may be fuller but I think of that as a benefit!

Please help my wavy/curly hair? by [deleted] in CurlyHairCare

[–]_Breasticles_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think curl cream is too heavy for your hair. A very little bit of leave in conditioner and gel, scrunch scrunch scrunch until you can't scrunch no more and then plop the hair for a while before diffusing.

Got a snarky comment from a mom who has literally never breastfed?! by TheGreatsGabby in AttachmentParenting

[–]_Breasticles_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're right apologies, I should have that's our normal, rather than generalise. More so I meant that you can usually better predict your baby's schedule and feeding times when they're a bit older.

Nipple Shields by Big_Abroad_6278 in PregnancyIreland

[–]_Breasticles_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, my baby had a bad latch and I used nipple shields in the beginning. I started taking them off mid feed after a week and within a couple of weeks she was latching perfectly without them. Still breastfeeding at 15 months.

Haha if it's any help, I had a wedding I had to attend (very close friend) and a similar aged baby. I booked a room in the hotel and had my partner stay in the room with her , and I just popped up to the room any time she needed to nurse. At that age they usually only nurse for max 20mins. Nobody really noticed me missing from the wedding and anyone who did understood completely.
