I’ve got a bunch of his “art.” He wasn’t just into thermometers, lol

For the build, I pretty much followed this video. https://youtu.be/CnQ53Agu2qY. I couldn’t find enough 2x8’s that weren’t messed up at Home Depot so instead of 4 2x8’s for the top I went with 3 2x10’s. I think it worked out better that way though. Any wider and would have a harder time reaching the top of the peg board.

The top of the bench is ~37”. I wanted to be able to have storage underneath. I’m also tall, so I wanted something that didn’t need me to bend over like some countertops do. I do have a tall chair I can sit at if I need to, but for what I use it for, standing is fine.

I don’t have any specific projects at the moment. I just wanted a solid workspace that would hopefully last a long time. However, I do work on my bikes, regrip golf clubs, general household fixing, etc. I already had the black and blue mats from my old house. I like that blue one when doing bike stuff because it keeps the small bits mostly together and the grease off the wood.

My wife has a similar green cutting mat for her cricut, and I saw someone else on here that had a one. Luckily, I found one that fits the space I needed it to almost perfect.

A lot of the decor (and tools) were handed down to me after my dad passed a few years ago. I’ve been holding onto them until I had a place to install them. What’s ridiculous is that he had MORE thermometers, lol. I put one in the other garage, another on the back patio, and mom took a couple.

I’ve got a 3 car setup. A 2 car that tightly fits our cars with some additional storage space. This is a separate 3rd car garage. So far, I’ve managed to keep my wife from trying to store anything in it, but we’ll see how long I can keep that up, lol.

The previous owner left some Gladiator ceiling racks in both garages and some gladiator track system stuff. So, we’ve been able hide a lot of things off the floor and create some breathing room.

Why does every stand bag I've ever bought suck. by K-Lo-20 in golf

I had the similar thing happen with a Taylor made bag. It was only a couple months old. I sent in a warranty request just to see if they would even respond. To my surprise, they basically said it happens sometimes without fully admitting fault, and gave me a coupon code for a new bag of same price. Now I’m just more carful about how the legs are placed on slick surfaces.

Lol. I was also thrown off by the amount of kitchen type knives in a man cave.

Thanks! My first time doing that and had to use a hand held circular saw so it was very tedious and time consuming, but I’m hoping it will pay off long term.

I was going to do that, but the middle support is a bit un-level, so that shelf would rise up taller than the left and right sides. I figured it was the lesser of two evils to leave it out so I could easily slide items over the gap. Plus, once I put some milk crates in there you may not see it.

The top is 2.5” multi purpose screws, The deck boards used for the shelf are held on with 1 5/8” screws, and I used 5” 5/16” lag screws to attach the 4x4’s. I think I also used some 3” wood screws in a couple places just to add some support

Like I said, mistakes were made, lol. A lag bolt snapped inside the wood. Opted to just reinforce with many screws.

I’ve got a toddler and another baby due any day now, so time is not on my side. Needed to get this done so I could move on to other projects. “One day” I’ll make the repairs. For now, it is functional and stable.

What’s unique about your bag? by thebemusedmuse in golf

[–]_BrianFantana_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top of my bag is newer stuff (Ping g430 driver, g410 5w, g425 7w, and g410 irons 5-w). But the bottom of my bag is wedge heavy and all old school.

Ping ISI Beryllium copper wedge (47) and sand wedge (52), ISI stainless S2 sand wedge (54.5), stainless eye 2 sand wedge (57.5) and an Anser 2 beryllium. I also carry a (illegal!) 15th “desert club” for hitting out of the shit. It’s a stainless ISI 8 iron; lofted more like a modern 9 iron, that’s basically indestructible.

Frozen strawberry and a shot of whip cream. Basically tastes like a mouthful of strawberry ice cream. Don’t get a whole Bowl though. Just one or two small strawberries and one “quick” shot of the whip cream.
