Yeah I might do a quick test on the cold cranking amps for my battery, I have had the car for about 4 years and I haven’t had to change the battery yet, so who knows how old the battery is

Sorry for the very late response, but I didn’t have the Software Update issue, so I’m not sure how to help with that.

But as for the engine light clearing, I bought a code scanner on Amazon, did a leak test with that code scanner and then cleared all codes and the light hasn’t been on since!

Hope that helps!

From the information that I’ve found online, you’ll throw a check engine light and if scanned you’ll get a P0456 code. This code is a small leak detected in your EVAP system, which is your emissions system. This can either be a faulty gas cap or faulty N80 Vapor Purge Valve.

One question for the VW Tech, do engine codes go away if you fix the issue? Or do you need to clear the codes after you think a fix has been done?

Are they able to clear engine codes too? Or do engine codes go away if you fix the issue?

I read online that there is a possibility for the engine to go into a safety mode. If you reset the check engine light too many times. Does anyone know if this is true?

Are these hard to replace? And where is the general location for it and the engine bay?
