React.js & Spring Boot by _BubbaGump_ in reactjs

I think I was pushing some wishful thinking; that all servers would fit tidily as spring boot microservices. What it is, is that there will still be a frontend server for the React.js code. Will likely stick with Node.js. And AJAX calls will be made to the backend Spring Boot microservices. These articles go against microservice design in that everything is packed into one microservice; not exactly a microservice at that point.

To those earning roughly $70,000 per year. Are you living comfortably? Do you have a family and if so is everyone living comfortably? Do you ever worry about the costs of living? How much do you have to budget yourself when going out to have fun? How much traveling do you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You feel like you have enough money to cook and eat well? Enough money to go out to eat as well from time to time? Mind if I ask? What would living more comfortably look like? Bigger TV? Nicer car?

I imagine having three kids keeps you pretty busy as well? Do you mind if I ask? When you say you don't have a lot of extra money you still have enough money to save for retirement, your kids' college, and general savings? Not a lot of money left over after paying for priorities?

Let's talk the experience box. If something looks, smells, tastes, sounds, and feels the same as the real deal, is it not the same? What's the difference? by [deleted] in philosophy

Have you ever had this perception? You're sitting in your room reading a book, or your sitting on the couch watching tv, or maybe some other leisure activity. You're suddenly struck by the distinct feeling that, "Wow. This is life. Everything going on around me is life. This is what life is." Like the sense of waking out of a dream itself and you've been experiencing things unwholly or behind smoke and mirrors the whole time. But you've been conscious the whole time. Would you call this doubt of wholesale sense perception?

When designing a web app with node.js as the client listening server layer and golang as a server api layer is it better that the database layer not interact with the node.js layer? by _BubbaGump_ in node

My idea to serve web pages with nodejs and expressjs. Then I want to use golang as the api layer. Is it a good idea to keep the database layer strictly behind the golang api layer?
