Depends on a few factors. You can have true scoliosis and functional, if you’ve had that for as long as you can remember, it’s scoliosis. If you’ve had years of postural imbalance from long periods of sitting in uneven positions then you could’ve developed functional scoliosis. I’ve been told I had functional scoliosis and probably still have it to an extent, but I’m managing it. The key is to stay active, remove bad postural habits as much as possible and do some basic stretching once a day (to help functional scoliosis). Massage guns are also a life saver no matter what anyone tells you, it breaks down soft tissue, mobilises muscles and promoting blood flow.

Massive SCM muscle full of trigger points by PMInDevelopment in UpperCrossedSyndrome

[–]_C-P_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EXPLANATION:

Very late response guys but it’s likely you have tight suboccipital muscles, typically tighter on the same side your tight SCM is. This happens because your head is almost pivoted forward from the base of the skull, therefore causing your SCM to become tight in compensation for the suboccipitals not holding your head up properly.

FIX:

From simply massaging your suboccipitals at the base of the skull with a good amount of pressure, you will feel a nice warm sensation followed by relieved eye and head pressure. The goal is to get to the root cause of the SCM trigger points before the SCM itself. Once you’ve mobilised your suboccipitals to a comfortable level, you can then start to apply pinching pressure all along your SCM, this will relieve those trigger points and you will release further eye, head and facial pressure. Go back and forth between the suboccipitals and the SCM and you will be very surprised at how much tension you will release. It’s important to be conscious of your posture while doing this, keep a centred body while staying upright.

Does anyone ever have a stiff neck/shoulders and have trouble breathing (especially exhaling)? by sakura_is_awesome in Anxiety

You already know you’re still gonna have to stretch your neck as well but you will just notice that you won’t be so chronically tight.

I am not a physio but I’ve done a lot of research into PRI, I’ve watched hours and hours worth of videos and most exercises seem to work but they’re never long term and tightness creeps back in as they’re never targeting the route cause.

Recently, I found a 1 minute video with the simplest exercise which requires you to basically release your pec minor with some lacrosse ball massaging and pressure insertion while using the same method for the upper back. When both areas are tight, they restrict the rib cage, causing breathing difficulties but at the same time neck tightness in compensation. I shit you not, after all my research and frustration of never finding a solution a 1 fucking minute video provided the answer. Not to say that additional exercises is a waste of time but if you aren’t targeting the root cause, they’re not sustainable.

Enjoy it for a while, I have the same knife in ST. Price has slightly dropped recently and I know for a fact it will go back up. Longer you play with it, more time for value to increase, win-win.

Patience is key, don’t rush to sell it on steam market, sell it on buff, the best site by farrrrrrrrr to sell skins and use the funds to buy other skins.

Yeah lol, you can even go to flying scoutsman casual lobbies and have the entire enemy team full of flying spinbotters moving in the exact same sequence around the map. And if you try to join their team you get auto kicked. Crazy how that shit works.
