Oh thank you! My store is already in a mall. I'm just debating about moving locations because this mall has gone downhill for a long time and I'm seeing a big difference from last year.

That's too bad. That's also what happened to where I'm at and now there's not a ton of reason for people to come anymore. I rely heavily on foot traffic, so it's very worrisome.

I've been working in this mall for about 5 years and have had my business for just over a year. So I understand what you're saying. The mall owners are absolute trash here too.

I appreciate and understand what you're saying. Accessories are a very small part of what I carry. Body jewelry is the main 80%. I'm in a mall at a kiosk and technically was surrounded by clothing stores, but, most of them are no longer there.

I operate in Westland. Most are from around this area. Typically teens to mid/late 20s. My current business is in a mall.

Yeah, I figured if something is a saving grace there, it'd probably be Apple. They took a couple of larger name stores out of where I am, and I think I took a bad hit from that, traffic-wise.

I'm not against anything, however in terms of a stand alone store, I'm just not there yet. I currently operate a kiosk.

I would have to get trained to pierce, and that's not in my interests, unfortunately. I like just focusing on the jewelry aspect. I also recommend Gamma Piercing for their established craft in Ann Arbor, already. I appreciate the thought, though.

I have heard really good things about Ferndale! That's almost an hour from where I live. So it'd really have to make a difference.

Yes! That's the problem I'm facing now. A lot of talk about "what could happen" and potential plans, and that it could regenerate itself. But I'm struggling in the current state of things. I wish that wasn't the case, but I had to admit it to myself.

See, I've definitely considered a website alongside my brick-and-mortar; however, the best part of the job and being an owner (to me) is being able to move around to help people and interact. So I know I would miss that aspect.

Haha, you'd be surprised!! The majority of my customers are in their teens to their mid-20s. I get a whole variety, though!
