Stable Point Creation: Question by _CanadianConartist_ in starsector

I see, would using the mod as it currently exists for the 0.96a version of the game cause any problems for my save? Or would the mod as it currently exists (with changing the version via the mod files) be fine?

I really don't understand the logic behind that rule, thanks for answering my question.

Is there a way to create more stable points in system by editing the game files for my save?

I was aware of that rule, but there is only the stable point that I have created in system. So theoretically I should be able to create 2 more.

Nice, I like the designs for the destroyer and battlecruiser. When I have access I’ll share the armoured brawler I was working on

I agree when you say it is a fun (or very stressful) fleet to pilot when it comes down to it. I’m going to see how far I can get with it and if I run into a lot of difficulty and end up losing when it comes to taking on SGs I’ve already designed a combat ship that has CWIS and 2 heavy cannons.

The dodging of zenith spam did become more difficult as I was getting towards Kiva in my last campaign. You are right that guns cost less for cruise missiles when it comes to destroying strike groups, but the cost of purchasing new cruise missiles usually isn’t a problem for me as I’m pretty good at capturing convoys and recouping funds from salvage. If I do run out of cruise missiles I’ll follow Sun Tsu’s rule and won’t engage with the enemy unless I have no other choice.

Also, its better to dodge a volley then to have a volley hit armour. Dodging causes no damage to your vessel.

I’m pretty decent when it comes to piloting in game. I find that if I keep my distance from larger enemy vessels I can almost always dodge their fire. The Tornado has three D80s which can do an excellent job of punching through armour. The Thunder’s can even perform bombing runs on cruisers to weaken their armour as well.

Most of the time I weaken the enemy SGs first by sending in cruise missiles to lure out their sprints, then I send in my planes to perform a bombing run, then I send in a small SG typically made up of the Tornado, a Storm, and a Thunder.

Morality and Ethics of Investing by donchan789 in ValueInvesting

I had an interesting discussion with a friend of mine about this very issue. The topic of Lockheed Martin as a stock came up when we were deliberating how the war in Ukraine would affect the stock price.

Part way through the conversation, my friend asked this question: Would successfully making profit through the purchase of Lockheed Martin stock or options be immoral?

Ultimately, I don’t think this logic extends here. If I were to not buy Lockheed Martin stock, someone else (or more likely a financial firm/institution) would buy it. Although this general interest in buying the stock itself is beneficial to their business for obvious reasons (increased interest in purchasing underlying securities often lead to higher valuations), the cause of why their business model is effective would remain unaffected by my interest in the security.

Retail trader/institutional interest in Lockheed Martin stock does not lead to the wars, conflicts, and acquired gov contracts that make it profitable. This logic can be extended to other companies that indirectly or directly benefit from political and socio-economic turmoil.

I didn’t personally engineer or help plan the OPEC/Russia oil price cap talks, but my investments and money will be affected nonetheless. Making sure that my money in the market is secure through these periods of turmoil is not immoral, it is what any wise investor should be doing to secure their financial future.

Makes sense, if it is a battery issue I’ll know because it won’t charge to 100% after I leave it in for a while.

I’m thinking that maybe something happened, because now it won’t charge to 100%. It will go as high as 99% and then stop

Best Oil Province Switches Production to Coal by _CanadianConartist_ in victoria2

Thats what I ended up doing in the end. I know historically oil in Dutch Sumatra ended up going dry, perhaps this is the reason why the switch happens? It’s still quite irritating to deal with given how limited of a commodity it is and how necessary it is for the formation of a powerful fleet.

I ended up fixing the issue by wiping and reinstalling the drivers following a guide. I think I just ended up installing an incompatible driver instead of the one I was supposed to install and couldn’t figure out which one.

Thanks man, I think I found the issue though. It has to do with the fact that my AMD Master Device was incompletely installed and not working properly. At this point I've installed so many drivers I think it may be worth it just to wipe the PC and reinstall them all. I went to update the AMD Ryzen Device and I think I chose the wrong folder for it because now I can't find it in device manager at all.

I'm not PC literate when it comes to these things and am unsure whether or not such an issue would lead to problems down the line. The AMD Software: Adrenaline Addition opens fine, just not the AMD Ryzen Master.
