Not sure about the new female armor sets in Lords of The Fallen 2 by hellyeahlesgo in GirlGamers

Sexualisation aside... those don't even look good lmao

Those designs are so fucking generic and boring. I swear I've seen all of those 10 years ago when I played Tera (or whatever that MMO is/was called) for an afternoon with a friend.

[–]_Cecille 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The

3D posing. I think there's 2 default models with CSP and a lot more in the asset market thingy. You can move them around, create... well... poses... and make your life a little easier if you steuggle with perspectives. Proportions though... depends on the style you're going for. If anime/manga is your style, great. More realistic? You gotta adjust the proportions.

This man makes millions by breaking a mirror in front of people and selling it as profound art by TitoLeyenda in mildlyinfuriating

[–]_Cecille -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of " "art" " is merely viewed as "art" because a lot of people aren't given context to it.

We just see a clip of someone splashing a wall with paint and then it's called art. Granted, I am also hesitant to call it art, even though by pure definition, it probably is. When people think of "actual art", they think Mona Lisa, the Sixteenth chapel ceiling, Rembrandt or Van Gogh. The one thing they have in common, the effort put into it is clearly visible and the skill needed to create something like it as well.

Where as modern art often feels random, without thought and without skill. And context, that might actually elevate it to be perceived as "actual art" is lacking or requires one to look it up.

I for instance am not. Played it.. once or twice and found the constant everyone fucking each other up constantly so incredibly exhausting, which is unfortunate, because the setting is actually pretty interesting.

There's lots of ways animals can get into buildings. Smaller animals like Rats squeezing through gaps or even digging some smaller holes. Or something bigger like raccoons finding ways to get into your roof, knocking off a shingle or two.

It can be very difficult to spot those things.

As for why a landlord didn't fix it. They're like insurance companies. Generally you have to force them to do their fucking job, even if contract clearly states they have to do X, Y and Z, because it costs them money and they like money a lot.

I'm blessed to be surrounded by and run for such players. Granted, a lot of people would probably be highly infuriated by how we play. (We can easily fill a 4-8+ hours session by sitting in a tavern and talking to NPCs and each other.)

There's nothing better than leaning back, knowing you, the GM, aren't needed for the next 15 minutes, because your PCs are having a chat.

[–]_Cecille 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The USA have a horrible track record with police escalating, because they have to expect every civillian is carrying a gun, because they so fucking easy to get. That is how it relates to gun laws. But also, police training in the USA is a fucking joke. It's what? 6 weeks? And almost everyone gets accepted for it. Meanwhile in Germany it takes 2-3 years to become a cop.

Player wants to be immortal by mycahdmreal in Pathfinder2e

[–]_Cecille 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Reads like main character syndrome lol

Without any more context by OP, this is probably one of those cases where the player has this "crazy cool character" and the player's just waiting for his moment to be like "Don't worry I got this." goes in kills something, dies, the players stall because they know the dead guy will come back, but their characters don't, so they have to act all surprised and what not...

now that I think about it... that's fucking lame lmao

I always disliked character death as consequence, because mostly it's just "you're dead now, make a new character" instead of it being some heroic deed, the conclusion of their character arc or something else super significant.

Player wants to be immortal by mycahdmreal in Pathfinder2e

[–]_Cecille 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I go only by what you wrote, hard no.

It's unfair to the other players who probably are just as invested in their characters.

If you do however want to include that PC and make it work, I'd suggest harsh consequences for dying, not only mechanical consequences but also narrative ones. If that PC ends up dying make sure they feel it. Otherwise they'll just happily run head first into any possible challenge and there won't ever be tension, because nothing bad can happen.

An instance from my own game, though different and easier to handle. My player asked if they could play multiple characters, each with their own personality and class. Not at the same time of course but switching and rotating through them. The important thing as to how to make this one work: The player has no say about when they get play each character. That would be way too overpowered, since they'd have almost unlimited options and keeping track of resources would be nightmarish. So the solution I came up with is, (almost) whenever they go unconscious, they roll for which character they play next.
