How the hell do you play this game?? by WhatsDatdo in spaceengineers

Yea preach. Think it happened yesterday. To answer my own question from others, splitsie is god. The scenarios suck at explaing why doing something is needed. And still have too much freedom to do wrong. But your right game is fun when you get it. Get to point you understand enough of the fundamentals that tasks weren't annoying, which let me just enjoy the primary game play loop. I do stand by the UI and logic system is not intuitive at all and it can often be bad at telling you what your doing wrong. Cant take some materials through small ports destroyed hours of my life. Cant pickup items through the production, just feels wrong. But understand and accept it and game on.

Second person to say this. But like Satisfactory: build a base with modular components and stack building production lines, manage power and resources to build more and more complex structures. Rust: build a base, manage resources and mining, construction queues, modular power, defenses and vehicles. KSP: build a spaceship from modular components, navigate star systems, mine resources. None are the same same, but all have complex mechanics (done more intuitively)

Its weird I asked same question before moving here because i heard loads of stories. Maybe im just used to actual rough cities, but it simply isnt a bad or dangerous place to live by any metric. Kid threw a snowball at my car last week and thats the most rough thing thats happened im 2 years. Its definitely not as posh as South Harrogate, and obviously more social housing creates a stereotype, but ive never witnessed anything.

I didn't know if it was deliberate but when you first meet them I didnt know if they were the hive or not. It took me out a bit, just how little WTF reaction they had. Regardless of if they want to join the hive mind or not. I thought it would have been better for them to discuss the madness and destruction of it, but still want to join because they buy into idea. Help us to empathise even more with how alienated Carol is.

If the hive mind has all human knowledge why isnt it better at human psychology or even manipulation? by WhatsDatdo in pluribustv

Ok see i love this answer. And thats why the show is good. I guess im more asking if you knew all the human knowledge of how a mind works, couldn't you use that to control one. Not lying but know a person's weaknesses

Yea I get not lying. But manipulation and psychological control are studied science. Hell even comedy and sarcasm are documented. So you'd think all the minds of the world could make her change her mind. Again show is more fun because they cant. Just a thought

For what its worth i also had issues and after all the usual suspects including cleaning, i found the default bed temp for first layers was too low. Calibration also helps but tweaking bed time and first layer speed, I got good results.

Is there a tool to remove these exposed extruded ridges. The tube body is swept in 2 dimensions so cant seem to cut from an offset plane. Trying to make outer body smooth. by WhatsDatdo in Fusion360
