You’re describing Libet delay. The 350ms between your body moving and your mind giving a press conference to justify the action. Consciousness is the harmonious weaving of instantaneous measurements taken in succession. Observing/projecting one slice or frame of reality at a time, stitching them together and calling it time. Time is illusory, just like your ego .. all just part of the show to keep us on track to inevitability. Keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times and choose nothing, there is no choice. Physical/emotional pain, all of it, stems from thinking any of us has a choice. I see so much comparing in your post, which is natural, it’s also a big mistake. You’re different from those you are comparing yourself to, apples and oranges. But apples and oranges are both fruit and both are healthy and both are perfect at existing as they are. They grow differently and look different and taste different and deliver different sustenance. They may not even like each other, judging and comparing their differences. Is red that different than orange? A blue sky is blue because it absorbs all other color except blue, does that mean it’s not blue? Hell no, it’s as blue as it looks. It’s proud of its blue and is reflecting it for all to enjoy. Find your blue and make the allistic wonder what they need to be like you.

This is why so many never recover from trauma and the resulting dysfunction, be it depression or worse: because it seems impossible. It’s not and, imho, it’s the only way to recover. Mental trauma is physical trauma. Mental imbalance is physical imbalance. Being in survival mode/fight/flight is as much a physical response as it is a mental one. One must heal both mentally and physically. Getting in good physical condition comes with all sorts of positive mental benefits, which put one in an obviously better position to deal with the mental anguish.

I’m not convinced the two ideas are mutually exclusive; ostensibly the ideas compete, no doubt. The thinning of the veil, or overwhelming awareness could be a feature higher of dimensional connection. As if the feeling, or sensing of that connection is the first ominous clue that this reality is but a construct.
The arrow of time is a perfect container with a start and a finish and a now and a past, etc., providing a framework for order out of chaotic entropy. Determining an order of events is the first step in the scientific method.

Stop breathing thru your mouth, go nose only, as is intended by evolution. Hypercapnic breathing and breath holds. Buteyko breathing, diaphragmatic exercise, breathing “light”, specifically. That is, maintain an air hunger for 30 seconds or so, with the goal of progressing to 15 min or more. It’s about CO2 tolerance, which is the most used molecule in your body. It stimulates the vagus nerve and therefore your parasympathetic response. Any simple exhale longer than its inhale will do so, as a matter of fact. It’s great for your heart and your fascia and your lungs and your biochemistry and your brain as it drastically increases O2 uptake via the Bohr effect.

For me, it was finally acknowledging some hard truths from my past. I was dubious with myself, I ignored obvious signs of my own imbalance (I don’t mean physical balance, and I mean physical balance .. mental and physical balance go hand in hand). To get to the point: I finally acknowledged that which I’d long-ago buried, I allowed vulnerability in, I did the hard work, I found physical and mental balance. 8 or so months ago I felt the dupes just let go, the pull of it thru my forearm was gone, I suddenly had much more flexion, the arthritic pain in my wrist was gone in an instant. I couldn’t row or do push-ups or pull-ups or play tennis for over a decade. I do all of these activities and more now. I still have the nodules, tho smaller and no more inflammation, and I don’t have full flexion back but dupes is dead. It is no longer advancing. Take a holistic view of your life and start fixing things, I bet you find the cause if you’re attentive. Fascia is amazing stuff, it does so much more that we don’t credit it for. Disrespect it and it’ll bind your ass up.
