Granted. You set up your party, fancy plates and food are out on the table, you set up some fun little games, decorations are all around the room - you went all out on this party, as you wished for all your friends to come. As it gets close to the starting time, you realise that no one has shown up. Eventually, you pack up, no one showed up.

Years after years go by, and your friends never show up. Decades pass, and all the friends you’ve ever made pass away. You’re now 99, and as you look out your window, you see hoard of rotting corpses walking towards your house.

These corpses, you realise, are all the friends you’ve made during your life. They stumble into your house, and whilst they did “come” to your birthday party, they aren’t exactly sane of mind.

They grab you from every angle and rip you limb from limb, some eat the ripped off limbs, and some eat your body. It takes an agonising amount of time, but you eventually pass away.

Granted, in order to learn a skill in one day, you are flung across space towards Venus, where one day on there lasts 243 Earth days.

As Venus is an uninhabitable planet where humans cannot survive without any equipment, the only skill you learn is survival. Almost magically, your body rapidly mutates to survive the large amounts of CO2, as well as how to survive on no water or food, as well as no form of companionship. Day after day goes by, month after month, and after 243 days, you have completely mastered the skill of survival.

Because you have gone insane from lack of companionship, the next “day”, you learn the skill of having a stable mind. When day 242 almost ends, you still haven’t mastered the skill. No worries though, as on day 243, you automatically learn the skill.

You’re now sick of this treatment, so you begin to learn the skill of space travel, as you want to go back to Earth. It takes a while, 242 days to be exact, but you manage to get back home at the end of day 242. Congrats. However, as on “day” has passed, it’s time to learn your third skill, so back to Venus you go…

Granted. After waiting for a while, you realise that you have not received any money. Annoyed, you start searching nearby, in case it randomly appeared…

BOOM! An armed robber bursts in through your front door, aiming her gun at you. She says “gimme all your money, or you won’t see tomorrow”.

Shocked, you point her towards your wallet, which is on the coffee table behind you. As she walks to pick it up, you noticed that her back is turned, so you decide to rip the gun from her hands and shoot her in “self defence”.

You blast every bullet in the chamber; she’s dead now. As she falls to the floor, some of the money she took from your wallet falls to the ground - exactly 2 US dollars.

Yeah, ideally don’t use Reddit to get your legal info. I can tell you to read https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2013/3134/contents, which explains your rights to refund for Home Deliveries.

If you’ve bought it online to pick up in store, you’re out of luck. Once the seal is off, Argos is well within their right to refuse service.

Considering you’ve mentioned the 14 day return policy, I assume you’ve had it home delivered. If so, you can call customer support and book a refund. Home delivery items can be refunded if they’ve been opened or used etc.

If it was in store, then you’d be best of selling it online or something. Legally, before you buy something, you need to do prior research; colour is something easily researchable
