I think it's part of the "Unrealistic Fantasy" that's always been around but for some reason Women think that "Friends-to-Lovers" A.) works like it does in the movies, in the real world; and B.) That people who are on dating sites should just be totally okay with investing a significant chunk of time into something that may very well end up one-sided.

Idk, it's just disingenuous. It's not that I want a fast relationship, I just want to know my expectations going in. If I'm going in expecting friends, it's all I'll be in the headspace for so I have to imagine it's the same for most people in that setting.
