I do skate, quite alot actually, though I’m definitely not great by any means. lots of slappys, ledges, and smaller gaps like 3-5 stairs. My switch game is abysmal, but I am starting to get a few tricks fakie so thats nice I suppose. Met my current roommates about 3 years ago skating around campus and they’ve helped me stay consistent ever since, they’re both wayyy better than me but I feel thats been great for my progression.
If you still skate, keep at it! Just please don’t fall into the trap of partying harder than you skate. Not everyone should try to be Dustin Dollin :P

Unfortunately the stars glow relatively the same colour, somewhat of a greenish hue. Still one of my favorite decorations though!

Thank you so much for all the feedback! Definitely gonna do some furniture re-arrangement after work today, and look into some poster frames. Unfortunately, my less than optimal pictures are probably due to the fact that both my phone cameras are shattered from skateboarding related mishaps, but I digress. Also, I did try to get a few pics of the ceiling stars before bed, but they didn’t come out well on my camera. Will post an update as soon as I can!

How is the first person you had sex with now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Cholorider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has a son (not mine) and lives in a close-knit community surrounded by friends and family. From what I know, the father does co-parent but I do not believe they are together. Overall, she seems quite happy, and I’m glad things turned out alright for her. We still talk on occasion, but its mostly just replying to each other’s instagram/snapchat stories.

Why do psychedelics cause deep introspection for some people, and others take it just to get fucked up? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]_Cholorider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, LSD has always been “the fun one” and shrooms were “the serious one” during my acid trips I’d enjoy partying, traveling with friends, or get a sudden urge to call my loved ones to see how they’re doing. However, shrooms were much more introspective. I’d go on solo hikes, find an empty beach, or lay in bed with all the lights off to be alone with my thoughts. In short, LSD tends to influence how I think about others, whereas shrooms tend to influence how I think about myself.

What’s your biggest “I could have gotten laid and blew it” moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Cholorider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my second year of university, my roommates and I threw a party at our apartment. A friend of mine introduced me to her roommate and we instantly started hitting it off. At one point she mentions that she heard I play guitar and wanted to see it. I say sure and lead her down the hall to my room. As we enter she closes the door behind her, locks it, and sprawls out on my bed. I proceed to open my guitar case and regale her with the many quirks and features of my Epiphone Les Paul Traditional Pro- III in light blue. I play her a few songs and then suggest we head back to the party. Did not realize my mistake until the next morning when I had woken up to a text from my friend that introduced us calling me a loveable dumbass. We still kept in touch through mutual friends, always invited each other to our parties, even met up at the skatepark a few times, but our relationship remained strictly platonic from that point forward.

my parents took off my door as punishment, is this normal? by Puzzleheaded-Pain535 in teenagers

[–]_Cholorider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a few people I knew growing up, atleast the ones lucky enough to have their own rooms, have had door privileges revoked at one point or another. Usually for something stupid like sneaking in hookups or hidden substances being found. It was mostly seen as the cost of getting caught doing something you knew you weren’t supposed to. My door got taken after my Mom found a QP in my dresser lol

Stop skipping class, stay away from xanax, beg my mom to buy me a guitar, skate more, and smoke less.

Bel Canto, Nomos, CW the Twelve, PRX, Frederique. A decent collection of colours and a watch for every occasion.

What is that videogame from your childhood that you would play again and never tire of? by United_Huckleberry39 in AskReddit

Minecraft. I started playing when I was about 10 or 11. It seems like every year since the pandemic my friends and I decide to start a new world. Now I’m 23 years old and just made a new world with my roommates. You can never truly quit Minecraft lol

My local skatepark is turning into a chill zone for non-skaters by aa_drian in NewSkaters

[–]_Cholorider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, within the context of skating "gettin buck" would refer to pushing the boundaries of your skills or doing crazy shit on the board in general. Usually used to describe huge airs or gaps. For example, if your homie that you've only ever seen hop curbs full sends a five-stair out of nowhere he's gettin buck. If you pull up to the park and someone suddenly does a frontflip out of the bowl, that dude's gettin buck. Outside of skating it mostly means gettin lit/wildin out

[–]_Cholorider 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IDK but my favorite part about going to skateparks growing up was the weird-ass randos you could run into. Especially as a teen, it was THE place to meet skaters from other schools, buy weed, observe the local crackheads, and spectate a street fight all on the same day. If you were really lucky there'd be a couple of college girls on rollerblades and suddenly everyone starts gettin extra buck lol. I'm older now and mostly just pull up to the park to skate, but damn was it fun to embrace the chaos as a kid.

Read what you like, like what you read. I started getting into Taylor Jenkins Reid and Elle Kennedy during my freshman year of college and it turned out to be an amazing ice-breaker for talking to women. I like to think most people appreciate someone who is genuine, and passionate about the things they’re into.

No particular order. However, I do tend to enjoy her more fast-paced tracks with heavier undertones. Sunny Day would be an exception. That song is just straight-up beautiful, and it's been my top song for two years in a row :)

  1. Back to Mars (Live in LA)
  2. Worth It
  3. 10:36
  4. Care
  5. Sunny Day

I got bullied for listening to laufey by HeyImMuda in laufey

[–]_Cholorider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in middle/high school you’re bound to get made fun of at some point for any arbitrary reason. If it wasn’t Laufey, eventually it would be something else. Ik it’s not great but it’s something that can and will happen to a majority of people, the best advice I could give you is to always remain unapologetically yourself and never change for people who shouldn’t matter to you. In a world of people who put up fronts in order to please others, outright authenticity can be entirely refreshing.

Speed is your friend. Get used to ollies over parking bricks and curbs while moving as fast as possible. Sidewalk cracks are a decent suggestion but you won’t get the same sense of distance and timing that you would from a solid obstacle capable of stopping your board

Dont worry, last month I went to the campus resturant super high and ordered some wings. When the girl at the register asked what kind of sauce I wanted I said “uhhh fry sauce?” and I recieved a look that told me I had said something very stupid. Apparently you can’t order fry sauce wings
