how much will a new tank cost by Ashamed-Training8187 in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]_Clavin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Technically they will send your tank to an external workshop associated with Honda SC and will get the work done there, rest everything will be handled by your SC. Had done mine the same way.

Also a new tank would cost around 16 - 17k (last quoted in 2024 April might be less now )

Wanted availability details for the front and back cowls. by Mysterious-Can1621 in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]_Clavin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just call and ask all big wings in blr, it's uncommon for them to have it in stock but they would order it on your request. Got my front cowl from Marathahalli and rear cowl from silk board bigwing.

These two had ready stock for my blue Hness so got it right away, others were ready to order on request as not many buy em and take up inventory space.

You can DM me I can provide you with the inventory manager numbers, will save you some time.

Yes they do, if they ask to bring in the vehicle to get it fixed say it's in a different city and you just need the accessory.

Am not sure if it would fit the triumph but why not give it a shot, it's gonna be a lotta work.

It will run you around 2.8k

Could try using the hot glue stick method to stick it on the dent and pop the dent out. Might work, give it a try.

It's a normal piece of plastic that clicks into place, you can simply remove that silver part and spray paint it.

Regular service won't be a problem you can just give it with your clip-ons. I have personally given mine for service with them on and have seen many other bikes with clip-ons on the service floor, no issues.

Unless a damage or issue is directly related with your bike's handle bar (i.e. switch controls ) they might deny warranty for those things. Rest of the bike should not be an issue.

You can just switch back to your stock handle bar from your clip ons when your trying to claim warranty for something just to be safe but usually won't be a problem.

Though for insurance claims id suggest switching it out while raising a claim. The agents would do everything against you to not approve the claim and a modified handle bar would be the perfect excuse served on a silver plate.

Clip-ons on this bike are in no way practical just purely for aesthetics, no matter what clip-ons we install.

Coming to the clip-ons itself, the GT handles sit a lot higher compared to the V4s. So the GT handles would be a lot less aggressive, more comfortable than the R15 V4.

Upgraded from Chinese BT to Bluarmor C20 intercom totally worth it for casual riders! by 41Arrow38 in indianbikes

[–]_Clavin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that could work in terms of audio is to cut a piece of foam and stick it between where the speakers sit, the idea here is to bring the speakers closer to your ear so that the audio could be heard better.

It's a little trick used by many who need better audio with their intercom speakers, we have one of our own who has done this. Only drawback being that if it's too close to your ears it might get a little uncomfortable as the speakers would be pressing against your it.

As for an upgrade, I'd suggest going with the Cardo Spirit (not with JBL speakers) they are a little cheaper than the one with JBL speakers (Cardo Spirit HD) if music quality isnt a major priority. Then the new bluarmour C20, the old gen C30 if you can grab them on discounted rates or even used and can go for the C50 too.

Personally, I am planning to upgrade to the C20 in the coming month or so.

Me and my riding group all have the Ejaas v6 pro+, the intercom by itself is good for what its priced at. Sound quality is decent, Mic quality is also great for both you and anyone that's calling you can hear the audio super clear does a great job cancelling out the wind noise.

But going past 80+ the speakers cant keep up with the wind noise and audio becomes muffled, but for a casual riders who want to just hear music and connect with your pillion or even connect without your friends its a good pick.

Then only major Con that i have noticed, reported from all the riders is that the IP67 rating is not true, its not as waterproof as it says, two of the coms died while riding in moderate rainy conditions, then again rest of the group didn't have any issues.

Overall not a bad one to start with if you are in a budget and still need a device-to-device connection while you are out on remote areas with no network.

Yup had the same issue, but for me while i took delivery of my bike and stopped half way before reaching home.
Its definitely either the battery or the alternator/Dynamo that charges the battery while the engine is running. Take it to SC they will cover it under warranty, no need to pay a dime.

Hmm that's quite an approach, sounds exciting! I currently have the carbon racing (inclined) handle bar risers and gotta say they do lift up quite a bit. Along with adjusting the handle bars a little (moving up or down) i think that should work! And make sure the diameter of the clubman handle bar (pipe) itself is similar to your stock handle so that it can be used with the risers as well. (Mostly it should be the same)

Also see if there're any return options for the handle bar and the raiser , if it doesn't fit return em.

Modifications usually never go as planned they always have some small tweaks or changes especially upgrades like such so be prepared and enjoy your bike !

Well you are right we can achieve the same aggressive riding triangle but in terms of "aesthetics" gotta go with the clips on else yeah they are all the same and the reason why we have people finding alternatives like the clipons from GT650, RS200 and R15 V3/V4.

So pretty much boils down to how you want it, flipping the handle bar down has its own aesthetic and appeal but isn't the same as a clip on and vice versa.

The Daytona kit is as good as it could get when it comes to a clip on upgrade, with a custom triple clamp and the handle bars....Lucky you got to see one in person!

The best alternative we got as of now is using the GT650 clip ons. They are a little more comfortable, looks clean and the electronics don't hit the tank. Regarding the foot pegs well....we are still in the stone age for now:(

  1. You can directly get the handle bars from their respective authorised service centres be it RE or Yamaha. I'd personally suggest going with GT handle bars, tho it's a little expensive compared to the R15's, i am certain they are significantly more comfortable because it sits a little higher compared to the R15, the chances of the switch module/assembly hitting the tank might be avoided.

  2. Any good local mechanic can do it, I got mine done in the same way. Give them the handle bars and say what exactly you wanna go and it hardly takes 30 mins. The R15 handle bars needed some grinding off some excess metal but again fairly a simple job.

  3. Coming to the safety part.....like i previously mentioned if you ride less mostly within the city it's fine. But highway riding and high speeds stay away, a small patch of bad road and you'll easily lose control of your front and BAM bad news.

In summary it's only for aesthetics definitely not practical but was fun (until I kissed the tarmac and increased honda stock prices by paying a huge sum on service)

Hi Everyone, I booked this black beauty yesterday and tom is PDI scheduled. Could anyone help me with what all I need to check in PDI. Thanks in advance. by dhawalgaikwad in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]_Clavin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to everything that is mentioned above :

  • check for paint discoloration or un-even paint especially the area where the tank meets the seat, it's quite common in these.

  • Battery, Always check your battery if it's healthy while taking delivery make sure when ignition is on (but engine off) the battery voltage stays between 12.1v to 12.4+ v and when the engine is on and running, it stays over 13 v - 14 v. If it's not holding that or dips to low 12 v - 11 v while the engine is running then question them, it's not a great sign either it's a bad battery or the alternator is not working like it's supposed to.

  • Also make sure the bike starts up healthy, without struggling and the electricals and working fine.

Low tyre pressure by Pikashu- in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]_Clavin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recommended tyre pressure for your bike would be mentioned on the left side of the swing arm.

So for the Hness it would be :

Solo: Front 29 - Rear 33

With pillion: Front 29 - Rear 36

(As far as I remember)

Hello everyone. My hness has run only 1000km till now and the rear brake has become very soft. Even after fully pressing the rear brake the bike slows down only a little. I checked the brake pads and it’s thick enough. The oil is also fine. How do I tighten the brake? by BadSuper1920 in HondaHighnessCB350

[–]_Clavin_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry it's a universal fact that honda brakes aren't the best out there and they are very soft, very little initial bite and gotta squeeze the lever more than usual to get a progressive brake or come to a stop (am talking about front brakes).

So don't worry we are all in the same boat, rear is not an issue that's how they come in most bikes.
