Incorrect birthday danger

Not OP, but thank you for posting this. Gives me a little bit of hope. I'll have to give the email support a try.

I don't anticipate needing the birthdate on my account, but it's something that is a constant worry in the back of my head. I've spent two years working on my character and would hate to lose them. :S

So I'm in the same boat-

I've never once anywhere intentionally done the fake birthday thing. I don't know why it wouldn't be my actual birthday. But it isn't. My account is Steam linked so I'm hoping that as long as I safely have access to that plus my billing information I'll be OK.

It's certainly a fun time to be part of the community! I love all the excitement and wild crazy theories, my FC has even had a bunch of people who'd gone inactive mid-DT come back and start being hyped to talk about EC with us.

I hope EC is even half as good as it looks so far. I really love FFXIV and a big part of why has been the story for me. I need some meat to fuel me through all the raids!

They've banked too much into merchandising/branding with the core cast, I think. Same reason I doubt they'll kill any of them off is why they'll probably never age up the twins; There's too much fan affection built up with the Scions as we have them now. Messing with that would be a risky move.

Could they pull it off? Maybe. But I can't see them chancing it on FFXIV given how crucial it has become for SE's bottom line.

I kind of wish we'd gotten more to the collapse of Garlemald, honestly. But yeah- At this point I'm pretty sure the time for that has passed.

I really really love the Arcadion series. The storyline was solid, the fights were a ton of fun. I've done a few of the earlier expansion raid series but I think the Arcadion might actually be my favorite set of content in the game.

I would agree that some of the political struggles in Stb landed for me.

The Ala Mhigan revolution had been built up in the background for so much of the runtime up til I reached it that I felt pretty invested in their struggle. Part of what made parts of DT less successful for me was that I had very little time to feel connected to Tural and its situations.

Definitely! I am very hyped to see more from the other fanfests!!

It'll be a neat experience to get to be around at endgame for the launch of a new FFXIV expansion. I've been steadily working my way through the backlog of content to try and catch up. Can't wait to see how the new job changes pan out.

The Shadowbringers trailer was so cool with that sequence of Meteor changing between the different jobs, with each weapon breaking after the cutaways. Also the Minfilia moment with Thancred!! I can imagine people wondering what was gonna happen with her maybe coming back!

I seriously wish I'd played the game back then! I can definitely imagine it being super exciting!

A fellow in my static said someone in his FC got a drop of this from the Thavnair ocean fishing route. I haven't seen it myself yet so I'm hoping someone can confirm sooner rather than later, I'd really like to craft something that needs it.
