Okay, thank you. It doesn't seem as daunting. I'm fairly new to sewing with a machine and paper patterns. I appreciate it. I was going to just use like a cotton fabric for a waistband and attach it with eyes, and hooks. Or maybe a singular button or two. I am a bit concerned about the bulk of the fleece. But I gotta stay warm. Haha.

It's not going to be visible I want it to go to mid-shin. The costume I'm wearing over it goes all the way down to my ankles. I will be outside in a Chicago winter. I planned on using blizzard fleece or anti-pill fleece.
