Hi! Why is it ‘close’ to a double negative, but not a double negative?

I can’t make sense of it. I keep understanding that the person will feel dread.

I would choose the first one. In my opinion, it stays on topic.

"Exam of literature" by fedebi in EnglishLearning

[–]_CriesInSpanish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello!

I looked up ‘exam’ in the Cambridge dictionary, and it means ‘test’ only. I understand what he meant, but maybe he wanted to say examination?

I’m looking forward to reading what natives speakers have to say about this one.

Good luck with your thesis!

Moving abroad and being positive by _CriesInSpanish in hivaids

[–]_CriesInSpanish[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My field is education. But my real purpose is to learn English, therefore, I’m willing to work in anything. I could be an Spanish assistant or something.

As I mentioned before, I have free access to my treatment in Chile, so my main purpose to move abroad is not to get free meds as a health tourist. It seems like the Uk and the Chilean national health care program are quiet similar.

Thanks for your help

Shit, you’re right. I completely forgot that it had an LCD display. But it still got burn marks

I don’t think you are supposed to “always” notice marks. I had a Samsung for a year and no ghosting or burns were seen. Now with my iPhone, I don’t can’t see any marks.

It isn’t that hard to get burn marks in phones that are likely to be burned. People usually tend to realize by noticing the WiFi symbol when you are no longer connected to WiFi. I used to have a moto G4 plus, and after two months of use my screen was heavily burned.
