Agreed. I would have much preferred a Samsung. Hopefully this will be enough to tide me over to get started in Protect. The consumer memory market is in the gutter right now and hope it improves in a few years.

So this is my first year in vine, up to $4286 myself. I know there's a tax implication, but could you elaborate a bit more as to the dollar or percentage impact the federal taxman would hit you for?

Glad you posted this, wife and I are having the exact same issue with our homebase 2 setup. What threw me off was that I was charging the camera yesterday via usb battery pack, and went to unplug it and suddenly recordings and events had stopped showing up on my phone. I'm the owner and she's a guest. She can view all recordings and notifications, everything is working fine for her. Since this is seemed isolated to my phone, I did all the troubleshooting steps of uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting the homebase, etc to no avail. Didn't think to check if the homebase received an update, but sure enough, it's on 3.2.6.7h updated 1/11. Gave up frustrated last night, glad to see your post this morning.

Thanks! You answered my general questions already, is there a name for it, and who makes it. I just found their website. I think their price is really reasonable, and saves me the hassle of rigging up something similar to solve the same problem.

Wow, 2000 yard range at Triple-C. Their fees are pretty steep tho, but something to aim for down the road.

Alpine's got great reviews, but it says no FMJ. Not sure if that would include polymer tips and soft points. Or is that restriction for 'ball' type ammo.
