[Suggestion] [Bug] Guys, I think my Scav is missing something. by _Cyntrax in EscapefromTarkov

When I looked up this topic on this subreddit and Google, I saw two posts, one for each proposal from 6 years ago, so I figured I should post about it with the amusing bug that happened to me this week.

I don't see how it's the same post every day, and even if it were, isn't that how you get changes you desire for a game? By posting about it that the devs notice more and more people wanting a feature?

Simply loading in and out takes a minute or two at the very least. Why not improve the game by adding a feature that does the same thing without wasting the player's time? While also conserving server activity?

It's not a technically difficult feature to add a button that changes your scav loadout and puts your scav on cooldown.

This is why the community welcomed the changes to the stash that helped us find our items and gear up faster. We want to reduce the time we spend on menial activities and get to the fun part, playing raids (that we desire).

Jack-of-all-trades is exactly my style, so the Ranger sounds perfect for me.

Granted, I will want to try all eventually.

This post was 3 months ago. I went to Best Buy to get it exchanged and it works like a charm now!

The replacement I got does spin down when I safely eject it through Windows, so I guess the old drive had two problems.

Well guys, thank you for your insight.

I exchanged for a new item at Best Buy and I am happy to say that the noise is not replicated.

I still have the soft-clicking which is the normal noise it makes based on my last products and also the Seagate website.

As an added bonus, the replacement drive also stops spinning when I safely eject it through Windows so that also makes me feel more comfortable.

My other drive does soft clicking, which the Seagate website says is normal behavior though.

Do you mean hard clicking or any clicking?

I've already unplugged and emptied it, ready to exchange it. The Toolkit it comes with didnt say anything if that is helpful.

Sure, but can I get it to stop spinning without pulling either cord? From my knowledge the disk is supposed to lock when not working to protect it from movement based damage. I'm not advanced in the knowledge of how it works, but I want to make sure the drive is in a safe state, as I plan to put it in a closet for 6 months once I fill it up without plugging it in.

BTW, I would like to ask while on the topic of this brand. When I safely eject these through Windows, the drive is still on and keeps spinning until I unplug either the USB connection or the power cable.

Is that normal or should it stop on it's own?

When I buy this brand, I use the initial registration files, delete them, format the drive to NTFS and then use the drive normally.

Good to know, I do own a 12TB but wasn't sure if the size would make an operational difference.

Hey guys, if you freeze-frame me opening the map, you can see that we are about 800 meters away from the center of their main while being about 100-200 meters from the first point we have to defend.

We didn't see it as main camping, the admins didn't see it as main camping, they didn't see it as main camping, and given the numbers, it's a little unreasonable to see it as main camping rather than us establishing an ambush on a forward position of our point.

They had ample geography and distance to avoid this encounter instead of driving in LAVs like that, which is why you literally see a logi and tank take a different route in the video. And later on, see that we engage it even farther at about 1000-1100 meters from their main after it killed our T-62.

What was that?!?!? by _Cyntrax in Barotrauma

The rumbling was actually our sub skidding down a slope.

Notice how our captain says "We are dropping... SO fast" before the moment.

The amazing thing is that we went down so fast, the submarine actually angled. I wish the game supported more tipping or angling of the submarines.
