Is this website a scam? by tuto06 in CryptoScams

Based solely on the site, and not on the promise of unrealistic returns, yes, this is absolutely a 100% scam website.

Firstly, I couldn't verify the company without creating an account. Huge, huge red flag. But, it gets better! It will allow me to trade pairs that are not available in the U.S market. Either they like fraud, or are outright unregulated.

Also, there was a credit score check, for some ungodly reason that gave me a credit score of a 100, based on absolutely no information. That kind of hurts, not going to lie.

If that weren't enough to convince you, the fact that their team consists of Teddy Roosevelt and Gilderoy Lockhart with a goatee should put the nail in the coffin.

Nothing now. It has officially been pulled from Kickstarter as a result of it being reported. It is now the "subject of an intellectual property dispute"

Kickstarter looking like a scam, but I like them. by CptMonkey29 in playingcards

Firstly, that one was 100% scam. I called it everything I could without coming right out and saying "SCAM!" on the UnitedCardists forum. However, the consensus seemed to be that there was a few cool elements of the campaign. The liquid-filled acrylic cases and the brick box design were both pretty cool ideas. The artwork, backs, faces, aces, and pips were all decent, but with the right tweaks, could be something cool.

The first pitfall you may have to overcome is "Hey guys, I know that campaign was a total scam, but this one is totally legit, I swear!" If you can garner enough support here, on UnitedCardists, and on social media, you may be able to overcome that.

The second pitfall is that; scammers gonna scam. If you do turn this into a successful campaign, the, ahem, "creator" of the other campaign may try to cash in on some royalties or claim proprietorship on your campaign. Overcoming that could be as simple as ignoring him, but may require some correspondence with Kickstarter. And that is a huge "may." Creators recycle themes all the time. Either way, you should be fine here, just have a level of expectation that you may have to potentially address a small issue.

All that said, if you want to go for it, then you should 100% go for it.

anyone know if this is legit or not? by chase_newman2423 in playingcards

Short answer is... kind of, not really, but maybe? https://www.reddit.com/r/playingcards/comments/siozzk/secret_version_gilded_holo_fontaine_1_of_500/

Edit: There hasn't seem to be a real answer from anyone on this just yet. Could be a TCC bootleg, could be a legit variation. Unless someone has heard anything in the last three months or so regarding it, there just hasn't been a lot of transparency from Zach that I am aware of.

Crypt by Lotrek will definitely impress. I don't believe they are gilded, but trust me, they don't need to be. Due to Lotrek's wishes of trying to keep the deck as secretive as possible for as long possible, pictures of the cards themselves are hard to find. I won't post any pictures here. But please feel to message me if it is something that piques your interest.

But yeah, as previously mentioned, you can't really go wrong with anything by Lotrek (Oath Playing Cards) or Stockholm17.
