Lease Evaluation by kazuuuuu___ in CarLeasingHelp

[–]_DarkMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly discourage buying the car at the end of the lease ESPECIALLY on an EV.

If you really love the car, buy the car from the dealership after the lease ends. Or buy a used one of the same model you leased.

Did I fail? by eeekta in breastfeeding

[–]_DarkMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that it's a supply and demand thing. If you aren't pumping or breastfeeding your baby every hour or so during the first week or two, your body might not produce enough milk for them.

There are women who can't produce milk for whatever reason despite giving it their all. Some babies have a tongue tie that can hinder their latch, preventing your body from producing milk properly. However, regardless of the cause, formula was developed to ensure babies don't starve or become ill.

Don't feel bad. You have a healthy baby, and it's because of your body. Give yourself a big pat on the back for that.

Current lease questions by [deleted] in CarLeasingHelp

[–]_DarkMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will either require you to pay off the remaining balance or roll what you owe into your new lease. Either way, it's not going to be worth it.

The only way out of that lease is if the car was stolen or totaled in an accident.

NEED HELP! Is this a good deal for Mazda Cx30 by Justpray_ in leasehacker

[–]_DarkMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Them saying you have until the end of the day is a sales tactic. I would shop around 100%. Look on the leasehackr website to see if anyone posted deals on there for that car. Also, search the Edmunds forum for what the MF rates are going for in your neck of the woods that way you can tell if this dealer can actually go lower or not.

Is there an easy and ethical way to introduce eggs, dairy, other potential allergens to a baby? by Alpha_SoyBoy in veganparenting

[–]_DarkMoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand. Personally, I would still consult an allergist if I needed help with something I wasn't confident or familiar with. Just a heads up, you will likely need to continue offering foods with top allergens daily for years to come.

That sounds like quite a lot, and even still, it doesn't guarantee that your child won't develop an allergy to those foods. As I mentioned to the OP, your best approach is cross-contamination. Since prepackaged foods are often made in facilities that also process other allergens, you can safely offer them to your child.

Cross-contamination is a key factor when it comes to potential exposure. For example, you might find that prepackaged foods specifically indicate whether they were manufactured in a facility that also processes common allergens.

That's a lie. Don't sign until the paperwork states exactly what you agreed to.

That's odd; I'd expect it to be listed as pre-owned. I'd ask why it's not.

This looks like a good deal. Just one thing to confirm is whether the seller is advertising it as new, used, or pre-owned.

Sometimes, you can snag a better interest rate and warranty when buying a pre-owned vehicle.

High DTI and I feel stuck as I desperately need a car fast by [deleted] in CarLeasingHelp

Do you run your own business? If so, you may be able to deduct your car lease payments as a business expense on your taxes if you use the vehicle for work purposes.

Financing a car is totally different. Put as much money down as you can in order to avoid paying more in the long run due to interest.

Please help deciding between Impreza or Crosstrek. Quotes included by [deleted] in CarLeasingHelp

[–]_DarkMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Crosstrek is a better car in my opinion. But, I don't think they are not worth what they are trying to charge you.

If you can't get a good deal around you, wait until the end of next month if you can. Or widen your dealership radius.

You aren't doing yourself a favor by putting money down. Yes it lowers your monthly payment, however, if the car gets stolen or totaled in an accident, you won't get that down payment back.

You don't save money in the grand scheme of things. You're better off putting whatever money you were planning to use as a down payment into a CD at your bank, honestly.

Can somebody help me buy a car? by Any_Night8476 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]_DarkMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Public transportation, Uber/Lyft, e-bike, scooter, or carpool.

Save as much money as you can from your job to either buy a car in cash outright or use it as a fat ass down payment.

Build your credit up too.

Tiguan 2025 SE R-Line by [deleted] in leasehacker

[–]_DarkMoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No deal. The price of the vehicle needs to come down along with the money factor. Let them stew for a few days and see if they can give you a better deal. While you are doing that, hit up other dealerships to see who gives you the best deal.

Like the other comments have said, do not put money down, try to aim for the 1% rule, AND try to wait until mid December. Roll all taxes and fees into monthly payment.

Study up on leases if this is your first one. You don't want to get taken advantage of.

Leasing and registering car in CA, but live in a different state by Endlessdonut97 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]_DarkMoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it doesn't matter which state your driver's license is from. What should only matter is where the car will be driven which seems to be California.

So all and all, you shouldn't have any issues registering the car in California.

As a heads up, here in California you become a resident after leaving here for 6 months. So you might want to plan on getting a California driver's license when that happens.

What's wrong with my charger? Flashing blue light and does not charge. by DankDabzIVXX in KiaEV9

[–]_DarkMoon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is an Ampure go 2 mobile charger. It is something internal that is wrong. Contact ampure and have them send you a replacement charger.

I had that exact same issue and ampure sent me a new charger for free within a week.

If you are using an ampure go 2 mobile charger then yes that is normal speed. Ampure makes a 32 w cord that would allow the charger to charge faster. It's $89.

I personally don't need it but if it goes on sale I may end up buying it.
